From best-selling, award-winning author Kathleen Ball comes audiobook four of the #1 best-selling series Oregon Dreamin'.

It’s finally time for Smitty to settle down after all of his trips on the Oregon Trail. He has Lynn and a houseful of orphans, but he also had a wife who he’s always been faithful to. Brenda lied and said she was with child, Smitty’s child, over ten years ago. It’s time to dissolve their marriage. Upon arriving at Brenda’s house, he finds Brenda and her mother May dying of tuberculosis and just as ornery as ever. Lynn knows Smitty is married and respects the vows he took.

He finally comes home, but in his grief he decides to leave Lynn and the kids. Lynn can’t stay in a house that doesn’t belong to her, so she answers an ad and leaves to become a farmer’s wife, taking her children with her. It was the biggest mistake of her life as the farmer is abusive. Smitty rescues them. Both Lynn and Smitty have doubts about their special love for each other.

Can Smitty sway Lynn to be his forever or will she choose to travel a different road?

Clean historical romance

This is an easy listen too. The book is predictable but that is not a bad thing. I did, however, feel like banging the main characters head at times but it has a happy ending.
Would recommend.

A Wonderful Ending to a Great Series!

With the Todd brothers all married and ending their Oregon Trail company, Smitty is now out of a job and he has a chance to settle down. He has loved Lynn for a very long time, but he is already married and refuses to break his vows even if it means a loveless existence. Events happen which just may free him to pursue his love with Lynn.

Lynn is a loving woman with a house full of orphans. She cannot seem to turn any away and yet she needs Smitty’s friendship and mutual love for the orphan in caring for the children and love her. She understands Smitty’s position with his loveless marriage. When Smitty leaves to ask his wife for a divorce, he is delayed, and Lynn finds herself in a situation where she must make other plans than waiting for Smitty.

Smitty and Lynn’s story had been hinted at throughout the whole series so I was very happy when Kathleen wrote it!

I was so sorry to see this series end, but Kathleen did a great job in how she ended it! I really enjoyed the whole series and if you have not read the other books, this one does not make you feel like you missed something. Well done! This is the first book narrated by Lili Dubuque that I have listed to. She brought life and fun to the book! I normally do not like female narrators, but I liked Lili!

So Many Roads to Choose

So Many Roads to Choose Oregon Trail Dreamin', Book 4
: Kathleen Ball

This is a clean historical western fiction. I have not read the first three books in this series.

The Oregon Trail claimed lives as people traveled west. Sometimes it was children, sometimes adults. When children were orphaned Smitty and Lynn took them in. They were building a nice family, only problem Smitty has a wife. Will these people work out there problems or not?

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Lili Dubuque has a pleasant voice.
