Out of this world cute ;p

I love this Lyonne Riley’s books, this helps me with fix with the monster match making series. It’s super cute feel good sci-fi romance. I highly recommend all her books :)

ML Deserves Better

I enjoyed the story between the FL and ML up until the last hour and a half. FL believes she is being used by ML. ML keeps pleading with FL to listen to his side of the story in mutliple scenes. FL refuses each time saying she does not want to listen to him and they should break up. ML then gets told to fight for the relationship by a female friend and so he does.

The FL is VERY emotionally immature and does not show character growth. FL loves her alcohol and marijuana and introduces both to ML throughout the story. Sure they still end up together at the end, but there was no visual growth from her. Because of this, I just kept seeing the FL as a brat. The ML has plenty of evidence of character growth and even learns a life lesson. FL keeps saying she understands his situation and then pulls a "he never loved me" and "I was just being used this whole time". Even though she mentions if she was in his shoes she would want to do anything to leave the ship too. Which makes it confusing when she all of a sudden cannot relate to him and why he signed up for a marriage program with no real interest on getting married.

I have only read two of this authors works now, but I'm still astonished with how differently I have rated them when they were both published in the same year. I could sing praises of "Mischief Maker" the story is amazing and the character growth of both the FL and ML were beautifully done. But, for me, this book was not hitting all of my boxes for what I consider a good story. However, this book may be for someone else and that's okay. I hope the author keeps writing and expanding their creativity to produce wonderful stories regardless.
