Publisher's Summary

At age six, Dave was alone swinging in his backyard and heard a heavenly voice, “SNOW SOMETIMES FALLS!” It took more than 30 years, along with several calamities, to discover what God was telling him that day. Dave learns, even through the tragic death of his mother, the 30-year revelation was well worth the wait.

A Wonderful Story

I thought this was an refreshing story about perseverance, family and trust in the Lord. Author Brian Ming, does a masterful job of creating a story with depth and a fantastic message. As a reader/listener you can not help but to feel immersed into snowy Nantucket, or at the family table in Montana. With a thread of divine help throughout the story you will find yourself not only encouraged by the wonderful family dynamics but also challenged to consider your own spiritual beliefs.
I would heartily recommend this story to anyone, especially those looking to be encouraged by God, love and family. This is not another Hallmark story, but rather a story with depth and surprising twists and turns. I loved it!

Thought-provoking, honest, satisfying

This book is storytelling at its finest - written in a style that’s relatable and engaging. The author doesn’t waste words on arbitrary or irrelevant information. The story builds from start to finish and concludes in a satisfying tip of the cap to the start. The author has a way of communicating meaningful morals throughout the book at various levels, and is full of honest, introspective moments that every reader can benefit from. I highly recommend.

Absolutely loved it!

Feel good story and I loved the song at the end. Very inspiring and made me feel hope about those who are no longer at the table (especially at Christmas time) and how we deal with loss in a constructive way.

Great any time of year

I wanted to hear this story after listening to Brian and Kristen's Christmas song "Snow Sometimes Falls" from where the book came from. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't a Christmas book. I liked the character development, especially Dave, a pastor having a hard time with life. The first half of the book can appear slow but really picks up after the death of Dave's mother (that's not a spoiler if you read the book description). From there, the book becomes a page turner and, based on what you know Dave has been through all the way from age six, it becomes quite an intriguing and entertaining story!

Great audio rendition of the book

I read this book when it first came out and when it became an audible, I decided to give it a listen. First off, I wasn't aware this was an updated version of the book with three added chapters from the original version. What a pleasant surprise that really enhanced the story. Secondly, for whatever reason, I never listened to the song (featured at the end of the audiobook) in which the book was originally written for. It's amazing and brought me to tears! Lastly, the narrator was delightful and really brought the story to life. Overall, I was really glad I listened.

Quite a story

This book was incredible. I can't remember reading a book in some time when I couldn't wait to get to the next chapter. The story is about a struggling pastor who is trying desperately to figure out what God is doing in his life. Through tragedy and difficulty he begins to see that God has been with him, not only in his adult life, but also as a child. When he discovers what God was up to and how God was with him, he is astounded and his perspective changes dramatically.

Amazing book

This story comes alive and is heartfelt and so meaningful. It tells an amazing transformation story of how God loves us and comes to each of us in a personal way. I couldn’t stop listening and I was so sad when I reached the final chapter. Great story.
