Disappointed

I listened to this audiobook until the end only because I’m a fan of Lexi's "Thieves" series and I hoped the story would improve. It was not the case. I did not believe in it, I did not particularly like the characters, it even irritated me several times and I hesitated to stop listening. I like ménage but not like this one.

Cowboys & Polyamory

What a dirty little heart warming book complete with 2 sexy cowboys rescuing a deserving woman. But not the usual innocent woman, this book surprised me when the heroine was an older mother. Such a great twist!

While the story was a little corny, it was ultimately wholly interesting and super hot.

The narrators were fantastic. While CJ Bloom narrated the majority, it was great to be broken up by the grids voice of Ryan West. Perfect for this book.

Great story, great narration...def worth the read

This book was great. I loved the storyline of the "small town siren." While she was still so vulnerable to others, she had all the sass and backbone to give it right back to people...when she had the guts to at least. I love the relationship between the three of them, although I wish there had been more passion between Jack and Sam. I am hoping to see that develop more in the next book. CJ Bloom is always a must listen as far as narrators go for me and once again did not disappoint.

Narrators review

Ryan West, as usual, reads all the male part very well. As for his female voices, grade wise I’d give them a B=.
CJ Bloom - good female voices, pleasant to listen to, Jack’s voice was spot on, not so much for Sam. Infant, I rushed thru those parts. The over the top higher pitched twang just didn’t do it for me.
Story = 3 stars.

Good

This was my second time reading about this poly-couple and my first time reading this new edition. This was the first book in the "Texas Siren" series. Abigail "Abby" Moore was run out of the small town of Willow Fork, TX 20 years ago with a bun in her oven. When her mother falls and breaks her hip Abby comes back to Willow Fork to care for her. While at her best friends house Christa she meets a hot sexy cowboy Sam Fleetwood. Jack Barnes and Sam Fleetwood have been friends for years they met in foster care years ago and they became best friends. They bought a ranch outside of Willow Fork and became rich when they discovered that the ranch is sitting on some kind of natural resource. When Jack meets Abby he wants her also but he didn't think she could handle the two of them until they find out what type of books that she likes turns out she likes reading about BDSM and threesomes then all bets are off. They begin dating her Abby thinks that they are gay. I wanted more M/M in this book although it was still hot. The town is rude and nasty to Abby all because they think she is a whore the mother of her late boyfriend who got her pregnant I wanted to slap that old lady she was crazy she blamed Abby for her son dying in a car accident that he was killed in while driving drunk. It was also crazy that an old lady turned a whole town against her and I was so glad when Jack stood up to the steakhouse owner. I also liked that Abby decided to take a stand and the thing in the store was funny. When Ruby Echols threatened to ruin Jack's business she tries to leave the guys but Jack wasn't having it he knew something was wrong. This was a good read and the narrator was also good. I am looking forward to reading and listening to the next book in this series.

Disappointed with narration. Ryan wonderful, tho!

I found CJ Bloom's Texas accents very corny and offputting...stark contrast with Ryan's great performance.

I'm late to the party, but I'm hooked

Abby was run out of town 20 years ago, pregnant and alone. Now sh'e back to ytake care of her mother. Knowing that things have not changed, she wants to help her mom and leave town as soon as possible. Only she never figured that Jack and Sam would enter her life and turn it upside down.

I am enjoying the start of the series. This story was engaging and enjoyable. Jack is your typical alpha Dom, fierce, protetcive, loving and stern. Sam is his partner and has been for years. Find ing Abyy to hare between them wsa a dream that came true. Only his relationship with Sam will be changing as well. While Abby is 20years older, college edtucated with agrown daughter, I wsa surprised how she still let the citizens of the town dictate who and where she can go and who she is..i thought she would have had more backbone after all of this time, so the moments where she seemed thrown back to her 17yo self, seemed a little out of character. All is all, she is the butterfly out of the cocoon under the watchful eyes of these two men. I can't wait to see what's in store for them.

My first but not my last

There are so many things to love about this book. One of my favorites was that Abigail was older than Sam and Jack! 🥰 I do love a non-traditional heroine. This is my first Lexi Blake, and I enjoyed it. As I don't typically read menage/throuple, I thought it was well written with the right amount of erotica. Be aware that this is a long series with books 1 and 2 being about the same couple.
