Too scientific

What would have made Small Talk Skills better?

He shouldn't have been too much scientific. It's like you're hearing a doctor speaking. The first chapters are about nothing, just how great the book is going to help you and when he finally begins, you still feel like he hasn't begon.

Has Small Talk Skills turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, I listened to the other small talk book 'effortless small talk' en that was more engaging in my opinion.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator also sounded superficial.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disapponted.

Did not enjoy

What would have made Small Talk Skills better?

This book will drive you crazy while listening, I wish I could stand to listen to it again to count how many times "he or she", "him or her", "him or herself" and "hence" was used. Do not waste your time or money.

What was most disappointing about Jacob Andrews’s story?

It was not useful to me at all.

Would you be willing to try another one of Dave Wright’s performances?

The narrator was "ok" but he story/book was horrible.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

None

At chapter 8 still nothing about small talk

Would you be willing to try another one of Dave Wright’s performances?

No

Any additional comments?

The book and reader feels terribly old and dusty and without proper content around what the book title says it's about.

Big rumble about Smalltalk

Very disappointing when the title promises certain topic, but the content goes over anything and everything except that one topic. When the book is so short, you would expect the author to go right to the point, but it did not.

This short book serves to be a good one for absolute beginners in communications. It goes over personal distance, eye contact, ,… nothing beyond the common sense. Only in the last 2 chapters it starts to "touch" on small talk. Nothing Profound.
