At first I was a bit skeptical.

At first I was a bit skeptical but after repeated uses and getting used to the speakers voice it really did help me get a much deeper restful sleep. I've had problems with really bad insommnia due to stress and I feel like listening to this self-hypnosis really helps me relax right before bed. I highly recommend it. Worked great for me!!!!

I have used this recording many times.

I have used this recording many times over the course of several years and have had great results. There's no such thing as a magic bullet solution that works perfectly every single time for something as fickle and unknown as our sleep process, so unless you can master your melatonin, antihistamine or propofol dosage, I would recommend giving this a try. I find the man's voice to be very relaxing and the different programs provide interesting variations on the sleep inducing process.

I will recommend it to all my patients.

As a psychotherapist trained in clinical hypnosis, I start out paying attention to the type of induction he is using, but am quickly drawn in and dozing before I can parse out what he's doing. Granted, it's the end of the day and I am sleepy, but this really does work like a charm. I will recommend it to all my patients.

I have played a couple of the sessions.

I have played a couple of the sessions but have fallen alseep before they ended, which is the point, but which leaves me without knowing what's been said. Others have mentioned not liking the author's voice, but it seemed well-suited to the subject, even and soothing.

I personally think that the sleep app makes you.

I personally think that the sleep app makes you feel relaxed and sleepy I use it before bed and it works if you have trouble getting sleep at night then you should use it. You can also use just use it to to relax so if your really thinking about getting this app you should listen to me and get it I absolutely love this app.

I suffer from insomnia in the worse way.

I suffer from insomnia in the worse way. I am a single mom so I can't take medication and be groggy the next day. I saw this and thought I would give it a try. I really did not think it would work. This book really helped me a lot.

I felt very relaxed and was able to drift off.

I was surprised at how easy it is to `listen' to the instructions to tell your body and brain to relax. I noticed as I was doing the exercise, my body was just relaxing and did not feel tense. I did not think it would work but after a few minutes, I felt very relaxed and was able to drift off.

I frequently have trouble GETTING to sleep.

I frequently have trouble GETTING to sleep and this app seems to be working well for me . I've been using it in bed with headphones and have had not had trouble sleeping since I got it.

When I am tired is very easy for me.

When I am tired is very easy for me to fall asleep again. However, I suffer from insomnia, so waking up late at night and falling back to sleep has always been a challenge for me. This meditation has been probably the only one from many I have tried that has helped me to fall back to sleep and waking up feeling rested. I highly recommend it!

I love this book. It works wonderfully

I love this book. It works wonderfully on many levels. There is lots of good information about the mind and the brain. It becomes very personal as the author goes into some of the states of consciousness in the book. It is inspirational as one learns what the mind and brain are capable of. Also, I was continually inspired by the process of the author's writing of this book

A fun book, I liked the writing a lot. Sort of a travelogue of various states of consciousness and sleep hypnosis, along with the author’s personal experiences trying them out and talking to scientists and experts.

AWESOME BOOK

Engaging study of consciousness: sleep, trance, meditation, hypnosis, neural feedback, etc. Author uses himself as a guinea pig to test many of the ideas various experts are touting, and doesn't take himself too seriously.

You'll probably enjoy this book.

Highly recommended blend of personal anecdotes and the latest experimental research and speculation. If you have an interest in the nebulous field of human consciousness, you'll probably enjoy this book.

An absolutely fascinating account of the lived experience of consciousness as told through a mix of popular science, accounts of self-experimentation and hypnosis. I’ve started this book a couple of times, but until now something always got in the way of me finishing it.

Excellent information for insomniacs.

Excellent information for insomniacs. It is helping me overcome the sleepless nights through mind therapy and hypnosis. I feel more calm and energized after doing some tips in this book. Really helpful.

Thank goodness I listened to this book.

I don't really need an audiobook about sleep anymore, but I thought I'd understood it anyway. It mentions many of the same things as the medical professionals who helped me when I suffered from insomnia. There are a lot of new information I found in this book. Thank goodness I listened to this book.

I found this audiobook so helpful

I found this audiobook so helpful I had really bad sleep patterns and insomnia as soon as i read it it was beneficial. The techniques and together with good habits are really useful. Its a good book to have, if I ever slip back into bad habits I can just find a chapter and read it again.

Great listen

The first time I listened to it, my goal was to learn more about sleeping problems. I never would have thought this would add a huge amount to my knowledge of the subject. there are a lot unique exercises to reduce stress and of course enhance sleep through hypnosis.

Great Audiobook! Helped me a lot.

Concise, practical, clear directions for changing sleep patterns. I am gratified to find techniques and information that dovetails with my CBT work. These exercises most certainly add to my anti-anxiety arsenal.
