I am so glad I found this series!

Oh this novel! It was so wonderful and full of great characters! I am becoming such a fan of this author and this series! It is not your typical vampire kind of book and I adore that!
In this novel we meet Grace, whose sister has gone missing. She is fearful that she is dead, kidnapped, run away or many other reasons, So she dresses up like her to try and discover where she is and if she is alive and okay. Enter rouge Elliot, (We have meet him in the last book but as a side character, I loved him in book 1 and I adore him in book 2) He meets Grace and this is just the beginning of the story. I will say I had no idea where this was going and was surprised often. It ended on something I was hoping was going to happen and I can't wait to listen to book 3! I am almost mad I have a few books to go through until I can get to it, lol.
The narrator was good and did a good job expressing a lot of emotion. She is easy to listen to.
All in all, it was a great experience! .

Elliot and Grace's story

Poor naive Grace forced to cater to the whims of her older sister. What a role reversal. Typically the older sister is forced to make up for what the youngest doesn't do. This story was intriguing enough that I want to know what happens next but it was just okay to me.

Very good book...very emotional....a bit of a tear jerker. The author is amazing, as is the narrator.
Let's be honest an narrator can make it break an audiobook. Kylie Stewart.....is a remarkably exceptional narrator.

Grace and Elliott. A widow and a confirmed rake try romance.

Since Elliott found Grace, he no longer wants liaisons with random court ladies. The attraction between them is growing daily. He feels he can not offer her a lifetime and she must locate her missing sister then return home. Charming and sweet they come to realize they need to be together, but fate throws up roadblocks. Wonderful ending and narrator.

THIS SERIES JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER!

Once again, Ms. Clee writes a dark and hauntingly beautiful love story. Elliot has to come to terms with his need for Grace. Grace has to accept what Elliot is. And together they must travel to where it all started. This book ends with a brilliant cliffhanger and I cannot wait to listen to the next book in the series.

Once again, Ms. Stewart performs a wonderful narration. Her smooth voice is both touching and beautifully intense. It is a job well done.

Great story!

The story is rich and layered intrigue and romance. The characters are very interesting and I find I want to know more of the family aspects, like Will the lady’s turn?

Read this!

It's official! I'm now a total fan of this genre and am itching to listen to the third book in the series.
Grace, even though she was married once before she met up with Elliot, is a totally innocent young lady who found herself in a loveless marriage and hated every moment of it. Oh, she's had sex with her husband but it was totally the 'lets get it over with...' kind.
Then along comes Elliot and sweeps her off her feet. He is loving and caring and this is so not him that he feels confused and bewildered about the changes he perceives in himself.
There is the mystery to be solved of what has happened to to Caroline, Grace's sister.
I loved the whole concept of a vampire's struggle to not be one, the support and help from close friends, the utter selfishness of a family member and the way the story flowed so effortlessly and kept me engrossed.
Adele Clee has written a most enjoyable page turner and Kylie Stewart has done a remarkable narration of it. These two make a great pair.
At my request I was supplied with a free audiobook by the author and this is my voluntary and unbiased review of it.
