Another Great One!

Not much I can say other than awesome and amazing! I love the cliff hanger ending and the explanation behind Yerin's "unwanted guest". All around amazing book! Looking forward to the next one!

I physically cannot wait for the next audiobook, Book 5. This is a new FAVORITE series, and Travis’s narration is absolutely stellar.

Excellent as always!

These are the types of books that you can't put down, and Travis Baldree's narration makes the books all the more addictive. To anyone looking for a solid series to dive into, this is well worth the time and the price is well worth the product. Start at Unsouled (book 1) and work your way through. You can thank me later lol.

Good, but tastes like half a book.

I’m always wary of fantasy titles with run times shorter than 9 hours, but sometimes you get a great book in spite of the short length. This author managed to pull it off at least once in this very series.

However this one just felt like 2/3s of a book, with an attempt at tying the story together with a big reveal at the end. It’s the kind of book where you have to wonder if the author or publisher is just trying to make an extra buck by splitting a few long novels into a much more profitable, six-book-plus series.

This was a good continuation in the story but by no means a self-contained “chapter” in the overall story, unlike a couple of the other books in this series were.

So summing up; I recommend this book to anyone hooked on the tale and its’ characters, but it kinda felt like I paid a credit just to have the plot points filled so I’d know what’s going on in the next book.

Increased pacing and action.

Of the five books I feel like this one was a bit faster paced and we got more action for this story than we did for each previous book. I felt it was nice we got to see a bit more of the bigger picture in this book about the other worlds and what is going on their as well as a wider understanding of this world and were the Blackflame Empire was in it. Plus I felt Yerin? Linden's friend got some more character development where we learned the origin of her parasite and her history with it. If you want a cultivator or xanxia story where the protagonist doesn't become as corrupt as his enemies so far this is the series to read or listen to.

Still awsome

I really hope book five comes out soon and we see our main character break through more cultivation barriers. Not a whole lot of that happening in here but the duel was great as well as the huge battle.

Keep going!

Part of me understands some people saying this feels incomplete. But I simply felt it was a fantastic story that isn't over yet so I want to keep listening and can't...yet. KEEP THEM COMING!!!!
