Obligatory 'AI narration is the worst and I HATE it.' Anyone who listens to this book will know its AI beforehand so all ratings other than performance is actually based on the book. I do wish this was narrated by real people because that would be the cherry. At the very least if something is going to be AI, duel or duet narration would make it so much better by a lot of marks.

This book was way more attention grabbing than I thought it would be. The plot seems very original and has a great storyline. It was free and I needed something in the background but I found myself getting drawn into the story more than I thought I would. I like all the characters and their personalities and the world building is good enough to put you in the proper setting to understand their dynamics. Its an interesting take on a world where there are superhumans with powers and I haven't read anything quite like this.

I would definetly put this in more of the slow burn catagory even though the timing does move somewhat quickly throughout the story. Its very appropriate for the plot and the spice scenes are more than adequate. 3/4 out of 5 🌶 in that catagory, they would obviously be so much better without the AI.

I think this is a three parter and I find myself wanting to know what happens in the rest of the books. Possibly even the other stories which I believe are in the same universe. The ratings didn't seem that good but this is a lot better than I originally gave it credit for and it's a nice breath of fresh air. Lately I don't move onto second or third books in series because I lose interest for some reason or another in the first book.
