Publisher's summary

The legend of some serial killers simply refuses to die. If only their victims could be so lucky.

When a body is found - dissolved in acid, a ring of finger bones cemented to the skull - Drake is floored.

For more than a year, he's been telling the NYPD that the man he had killed, the man who had taken his partner's life, wasn't the real Skeleton King.

Nobody believed him.

Even now, with a new skeleton as proof, Drake is met with resistance.

A copycat killer, they say. A deranged fan of Peter Kellington, perhaps. But Drake knows differently. He knows this is the work of the original Skeleton King, and he is driven to seek revenge for his dead partner.

Only, like before, he has no suspects.

Drake is on his own, trying to stop a sadistic murderer before he strikes again. Seeking answers, he turns to an unlikely ally to catch the Skeleton King once and for all: another serial killer who he put away during his time as an NYPD detective. But it doesn't take long before Drake starts to wonder who's asking the questions and who's providing the answers, and if he can catch a killer with his sanity still intact.

Damien Drake novels have me hooked.

Patrick has a great set of characters, each getting more and more developed as the series grows. Looking forward to more. Nice writing.

So, so

This novel was broken in two parts. The first part was between Drake and Ray. The second part had Drake as a consultant (of sorts). The ending was rushed and I didn’t care for that but overall the book was worth listening to.

Huge plot error. how is this possible?

First part of book had Drake as boy with Ray. End of book changes it to Dane, Drake's heretofore unknown brother, all to setup the lame ending.
I'm done as I already struggled with listening to an idiot self destructing. would be better if editor wasn't drunk too like author must have been.

So Un-Good, I had to write a review😂

This is my first and last attempt at paying attention to this... writer?
It’s as though most of the lines have been cut directly from books/movies over the past 20 years and pasted together.
The other lines possibly original to the author are so cliché and poorly written it is funny.
Example of the writing:
“OMG, This book is part of a series? As though one book wasn’t enough.”
As I went to write this review I could not help think that ‘skeleton king’ was probably chosen for a title as it pops up when using an internet search engine having miss spelled a well known author, S. King, this just to get in-front of a few people.
Don’t waste your time my friends.
These are not the droids you are looking for-
