Scorching Erotica of a tale that's been overdone
This erotic story of 29 yr-old lingerie designer, Jenna, & firefighter & soon-to-be counselor, Dean, is scorching sexually and zero romantically. They knew each other at the start of the story, so the hook up scenario is plausible. However, what the author used as proof that Dean wanted a relationship w/ Jenna beyond sex was nothing upon which to build a relationship. And Dean's possessiveness had no basis and comes into question later. Dean's presumptuous act later, that was supposedly based on his intuition of Jenna's hidden desires, was problematic for me, & Jenna's reaction was quite implausible for most mentally & emotionally well women, IMO.
This story is just a repeat. Sadly, this is yet another story w/ yet another sex club. Also Jenna is curvy, wears baggy clothes to hide her body, was teased as a child, and is uncomfortable w/ her body. So it's also yet another story of another curvy female who believes a hunk is outta her league & would never be interested in a woman w/ her body type. Thus, Dean's mission, thereby being a 3rd way that this story has been done, redone and overdone by other authors numerous times.
It's nice that the story has dual POV, and the narrator hits it outta the park, especially the lengthy spicy bits. Still, even with my likeness of spice and erotica, I was ready for it to be over once it was over & considered the sex scenes, especially the first one, too drawn out. It would've been better to break it up into more than one night, more than one moment. There needed to be a bit more focus on the relationship part of the story, at least a little. So, been-there-done-that with this one.
