Publisher's summary

The New York Mafia has been around for decades, and the Giuliani’s have ruled their criminal empire with an iron first. But wait. There’s an upstart waiting in the wings, and the Lombardi’s are about to claw their way in, thanks to the decline of the city’s ruling family.

The prize to be had in the upcoming battle is New York Harbor. The warriors? Francesco Giuliani, the bad-boy son and enforcer of the family, and Jessica Lombardi, her family’s lawyer who has learned the business from her father and brother.

New York, already on alert when two crime bosses are murdered, is now flooded with NYPD and FBI, all chasing after the culprits.

When Francesco and Jessica meet, the sparks fly, but will that be enough to stop the two families from tearing apart not just the city, but their love?

Sins of the Son

The book has a few very unexpected twists that I did not see coming. The narration sounded authentic Italian accent and very clear

If you love Michael Corleone you'll love this book

Great mafia story that is reminiscent of The Godfather; I could almost hear the strains of the theme from the movie! The narrator's accent was very authentic. If you love mafia stories, this is a definite Must Listen!

Loved the ending!

I love a good mafia book so this sounded appealing when I first heard about it. While this book was a bit slow to gain my interest, it had a really unexpected twist at the end that I thought was surprising and very well done. The end for me was definitely the best part. Freddy Moyano did an amazing job bringing all the characters to life with their various accents and voices. That Italian accent was a bit hard to get used to at first but it was very fitting for this book. I received this audiobook for free at my request in exchange for an honest review.

Mafia Noir Novel!

This was my first Frank Lucianus's book, and my first listen to Freddy Moyano. This is also the first book in The Frank Lucianus Mafia Series. This mafia noir novel is intriguing, captivating and suspenseful, with an unpredictable and chocking twist in the end. This isn't an usual romance, but this is a well written mafia story. The narrator has the perfect Italian voice for this story. At first, I was a little worried because of the accent, but Freddy Moyano has a great voice, easy to understand. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Great Listen!

Sins of the Son by Frank Lucianus pulled me in immediately. I have always been attracted to mafia books, and this one does not disappoint. The book has some very unexpected twists that I did not see coming. The narration by Freddy Moyano sounded authentic Italian accent. He gave the various characters distinguishable voices, so I knew who was speaking. I would definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

Daddy Issues

First things first the accent was the best part of this for me. The heart want what it wants not necessarily when you want it. I think this along the lines of a modern day Romeo and Juliet. Both author and narrator are new to me but it was well done.

Love and Mafia Don't Mix!

OR... DO THEY?
Very Italian, very dark, very noir.. .and very cool!
Very cool mafia tale, with some romance tossed into the mix.

The narrator did a terrific job - stick with it, and it will melt into you.
Great story, what a fun listen! I'd do it again ;)

Good

I enjoyed the story. It was very much the way you think the mob truly behaves. Enjoyable romance though. The narrator had a strong Italian accent and was difficult for me to understand at times but it did make the story realistic.
