Publisher's summary

Getting kidnapped isn’t so bad.
At least, it’s not when your captor is a billionaire with a huge...heart.
He saved me from my abusive ex-boyfriend when I couldn’t get away.
Now he owns me, and he wants to get engaged.
The only problem is, my ex isn’t letting me go so easily.

Dean Sharp is a breathtakingly gorgeous, arrogant, and an asshole. At least that’s my first impression when he knocks out my abusive boyfriend.

When we get home, I know my boyfriend’s going to make me pay for what Dean did.

But Dean Sharp isn’t done meddling in my life. Not even close.

He grabs me from outside my motel, throws me in his car, and says I’m his hostage. He doesn’t want money, though. What he does want is the last thing I would’ve ever expected.

He wants me to pretend to be his fiancee so his daughter and brothers don’t suspect anything. And he says he won’t let me go until he’s sure I’ll never go back to my abusive boyfriend.

The thought of crossing my boyfriend terrifies me, and I’ve spent the last two years trying not to even think of what he’d do if I left. He owns me.

At least he did until Dean Sharp stepped into my world. He saved me from my abusive relationship, and now he wants to give me something even bigger: an enormous diamond ring. How can a girl say no to that?

*This is a full-length, standalone fake marriage romance. No cheating or cliffhangers, and as always, Happily Ever After guaranteed.

Excellent story!!!

Dean is out having a quiet drink when he sees a man being rough with a woman. He steps in and ends up hitting the guy, when the woman, Camille pushes last him and helps her boyfriend up and leaves with him. Dean follows them to a hotel and ends up kidnapping Camille to keep her safe from Sean, Her boyfriend. Then he talks her into pretending to be his fianceé in front of his daughter and brothers. This is an intriguing suspenseful story and I highly recommend it!

Great listen!

It does have some Triggers. Had a good amount of heat and Suspense. I really want a better ending. Like Both brothers marrying. Definitely a couple of follow up books are needed.

Tried to do too much

Fake relationship. Kidnapping. Abusive ex. Dead sibling. Relative as ‘parent’. Twins. Abusive childhood. One or two would have been ok. At some points, I thought it was a farce because it got a bit too convoluted. I think it would be a story to be re-worked and re-recorded and it would be better. I’ll try something else by the author but probably only 1 other title.....

Annoying h

I don't think I would have finished this book if it weren't for the narrators but Camille was just annoying to me. I understand being a victim of domestic violence but this chick was just too stupid for me to enjoy. I didn't like the stupid things she did in the book

Don't think I've listened to these narrators before but I liked them. Also enjoyed the story, s little bit different than most.

a must read

Well a must listen to. This story was packed with everything you would want in a long novel. I especially loved the epilogues how it covered almost everyone. I wish Murphy would have been included in it. Ita a must read or listen to book

Good Dad

Perfectly sweet love with a little bit of naughty and a whole lot of hero vibes. The ending was great and filled in a lot for the future.

I tried, but DNF

This book had the makings of a good story, but the ridiculous behavior of literally every character (except the 8 year old, who was more mature than all of the adults combined) made it so unbelievable that it was annoying. I made it to chapter 10 when I couldn't take it anymore.

The female narrator is also a struggle to listen to. Her Midwest accent was so annoying at times. I even tried speeding it up so it would go faster. It wasn't enough to make it palatable.

I normally enjoy this author, but this is a hard pass.

HORRIBLE!!

Who writes this crap and more to the point, who actually reads it and likes it??? Let’s face it, you get what you pay for, and at free, I never should have believed the reviews. Stay as far away from this junk you can. Watching rerun on TV is better. After listening painfully to 4 or 5 chapters, I’d had enough. Use a Audible credit or join the Romance Package, but don’t read free Kindle books, unless it’s a cookbook.
