When past comes a knocking
This is a continuation of the Blacks life and drama that is unfolding. Their love was definitely put to the test. Mrs. Black was living a life of double standards. I can appreciate how she allowed Matthew to have an opportunity to get to know the person he thought was his father. I would love to see her grow as a character if the author continues with this family.

Couldn't put it down!
Shame on me for not doing my reseach, but I knew I'd read this author's work before. What I didn't realize is that this book continues a storyline from 2 others I've enjoyed. What a pleasant surprise! This story deconstructs flawed Christians, people with SERIOUS issues, not goody-too-shoe, "holier than thou" folks. It tells of their shortcomings and growth. In some ways, it helped me appreciate the real power of forgiveness, salvation and God's love for us despite our wrongdoings. The narrator was AMAZING with her range of voices and the author's storytelling was SUPERB. Thank you for giving us an entertaining production.
