Helpful for reducing stress!

I kept a limit on how many activities my daughter participated in during a given week to protect her unstructured playtime. I was so happy to find a book that supports our family’s counter cultural lifestyle. Reading this book supported many of my other parenting beliefs and gave me inspiration for simplifying other aspects of our life. I reduced the toy clutter and see my daughter appreciating her belongings a lot more while being more creative.

Reminder to slow down while parenting

Interesting take on parenting, builds on minimilism parenting and Montessori principles. I would reccommend this book.

So much good material here

I did find the narrator a *bit* monotone but it didn’t hinder my finishing it.
This concept, simplifying, is so helpful. In a Christian home, these ideals fit well but there is no preference from the author.
It’s not really a parenting book, not a how to deal with the child him/herself, but more how to create a lifestyle, a home around them that will allow them to thrive. Which then would reduce behavioral problems. I loved this book!

Excellent advice for parents

I have had a hunch for sometime now that more is not better and it was so helpful to have this suspicion confirmed and greatly expanded upon in this book. I feel there are many practical ways that the concepts here can be implemented and I’m grateful to have read this book and hope that other parents will too.

Excellent content but who is narrating this book?

I know the content is excellent but it sounds like a robot. It would be great if this book were narrated by someone else.

I love the book but not the voice

This is one of my favorite books but it was hard for me to follow the voice.

Great book

I learned so much from this book. Good examples are shared on how to simplify life. From toys, media, food, and how we spend our time together as a family. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is looking for ways to connect with their others in a more meaningful way. Simply wonderful.

Most useful parenting book I've read.

Full of great doable advice. He doesn't just give theories and them leave you to wonder how to implement them. I've listened to this book twice now, and I'm sure I will many more times as my daughter progresses and grows.

Voice of reader

I enjoyed this book in all the ways that it affirmed me as a mom, encouraged me to continue to simplify and challenged me to take another look at our base camp (home life). The only thing I would change is that if the voice reading the book. The author is a female, but the book is read by a male. It seems silly I guess...but it's etched in my brain that the author is a male after hearing this book on audible.
