I don't agree with other reviews

I have seen all the other reviews and I don't agree with them. I thought the author did a great job of providing the information needed to get in to the story. I thought Sky did a great job of creating the characters. Seriously, being a short story doesn't allow for as much detail as would be provided in a longer book. I thought it was cute. It gave me a new appreciation of the older man. I could totally put myself in Jana's position. Who wants a "man child". There are so many of then out there. Glad she had the guts to get out of that relationship. I really enjoyed this short story. It gave me a chance to listen to something short between the long books I listen to. Great break from the other books. I was given this audiobook free in exchange for an unbiased review. THX

Good love story and little short. Could have used a little more detail but a nice story

Great Shifter Short!

This is a short, complete-story, stand-alone, paranormal romance with no cliffhanger. That, in and of itself, is pretty awesome. In spite of its short length, it packs a lot in without seeming to be rushed or moving too fast. I felt connected to Jana and Stephen and thought the story was well-written and flowed easily. I was invested in their future and wanted them to have a lovely HEA. A little intrigue and action made that a questionable thing, and I liked that too. This is a great option for when you only have an hour or so to kill and/or don't feel like getting into a full-length novel right now and also don't want to commit to a long series of shorts that have to be read in order. Loved it!

The narrator is great in the descriptive sections, using the right inflection to convey the emotions that fit perfectly what she is reading. Her male and female voices in the dialogue are also good. I am a picky B*tch about narrators. It's not a secret. Shoshana Franck does not need any constructive criticism, which is about the best compliment I can give. She's got it down.

I received this audiobook in exchange for an unbiased review. The number of stars is based on where I believe this audiobook rates with other audiobooks of the same type, length and general feel-- not where it rates in comparison to all audiobooks of all time.
