Love Me Daddy

I'm fairly new to this genre, not something I thought I would enjoy reading but Marcus and Eric just stole my heart. Marcus(Daddy) was nothing but patient and loving, guiding Eric through his emotions and helping him learn to ask and accept what he wanted for his life.
Eric was just so damn cute and shy, I loved him. The Daddy play was very well thought out and written in a way you wouldn't be turned off with scenes involving diapers, bottles and pacifiers. With the loving and hot relationship between these two, I found the Age play just enhanced the story. I'm glad the author decided to do two books for this story, it needs to be told in its own way and one book wouldn't have been enough. I would love to hear more from these characters and hope I will maybe in the future.

The narrator Kenneth Obi is new to me, he did a fantastic job with all the voices, you can hear the love and emotion come across very well. I would love to listen to more from him.

I would highly recommend this audio book, M.A. Innes did a great job bringing Marcus and Eric's story to life. I can't wait to read and listen for more.

god this was perfect and amazing.. as always. kenneth is superb... ma innes is an amazing writer and put the two together and you have perfection. i loved it so much.. so so much!

Fabulous Narration

I am a long time reader of M.A. Innes, and newer to audiobooks, but finding Silent Strength on audio was something I couldn't pass up. At first, I was worried I wouldn't like the book on audio as much as I did reading it (No lie, I already knew I loved this book.), but Kenneth Obi was so fantastic I immediately settled in to listen. He really brings the characters to life, and his spot on narration coupled with this powerful story of kinky goodness was everything I could have hoped for and more. The narration made listening to this book I had already read a new experience and allowed me to enjoy the story all over again in a deeper way. I will be listening to more books by M.A. Innes on audio after this.

Daddy Kink

Your kink is not my kink.

And vice versa.

This is the third M.A. Innes audiobook I’ve listened to and I really enjoyed it. I have read a number of ‘daddy kink’ books recently, but this one, like M.A. Innes’ ‘Secrets in the Dark’, definitely pushes the boundaries of taboo. Not that is anything wrong with the urges and desires Eric and Marcus have – because there isn’t. That being said, not everyone is comfortable with a grown man wearing a diaper, sucking on a binkie, and napping in a crib.

I vividly remember watching an episode of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigations” in 2005, titled ‘King Baby’. The murder victim was a man who fell off a balcony to the pavement below and died.

Wearing only a diaper.

While some viewers were, I am certain, wigged out, I was fascinated. Why would a grown man, a Las Vegas Casino mogul, want to be infantilized and put into a baby’s room? Now, that guy had a ‘mother’ who breastfed him. That was icky to me.

It’s been almost 20 years and as I’ve been exposed to more and more of the BDSM lifestyle, the concept of middles and littles has solidified in my mind as normal. Healthy.

Eric is a little. Or he thinks he wants to be. His research has been mostly online because he perceives a lone single male going into a toy store might draw some attention. And he has a point. Lone men are often watched carefully when they are around children. Many have no ill intentions, but they aren’t given the benefit of the doubt.

So Eric surfs the net, trying to find out why he has the desire for someone to take care of him. He has family issues – who doesn’t – but is need for a caregiver comes from deep within him. He has a decent life, a job, a loving aunt, and a cool best friend, but that’s not enough.

Marcus is a bit on the young side to be considering retirement, but the satisfaction he derives from being a police officer has been tempered by his driving need to connect with someone. To bond with them.

At Bound and Controlled, a gay BDSM club in D.C., he’s hanging out with the owner of the club one night when Eric walks in.

Even if the younger man wasn’t wearing an identifying bandanna, Marcus’ “Dom” senses would have been on high alert. He rescues Eric from a potentially disastrous situation, then has to sit back and wait to see if the sexy sub will come back.

Eric knows he’s attracted to his saviour, but he’s not convinced there is a man out there compatible with him, let alone a gorgeous man like Marcus. Because, honestly, if a man wants to be a daddy, he can just have a baby, right?

Slowly, inexorably, the men are drawn together and what I loved about the book is that it is a very slow process. As it should be. Daddy/boy relationships – as with most others in BDSM – need to be carefully negotiated. Parameters, and more importantly, boundaries, need to be explored and discussed.

There are moments of hesitation, of course. Eric has spent most of his life putting himself down because everyone else is just going to do it anyway, so why not save them the trouble? Marcus takes GREAT exception to this habit and knows the exact punishment to mete out so Eric never puts himself down again.

A bond.

Isn’t that what most people are seeking?

A connection?

A touch?

A bond.

Even if it’s not romantic, most of us need a connection with others and I love that Eric develops friendships with other Daddy/little couples.

Kenneth Obi is quickly becoming one of my favourite narrators. Appropriately, Marcus has a deep and authoritative voice. What I appreciated was that Eric’s voice wasn’t too high and whiny. Being a ‘boy’ doesn’t preclude still being a man and Obi’s performance solidifies that.

Your kink might not be my kink, but I would be tempted to yield control if someone like Marcus came into my life. Just like some readers would love to wrap Eric in their arms and protect him.

As Eric says to Marcus: “You make me see everything differently. Even myself.”

And Marcus replies, “I just make you see the strength that was already there to begin with.”

Daddy loves his boy!

Obi does a great job narrating strong Marcus and insecure Eric. A great book!

Silent Strenth

Eric has always kept his wants and needs secret. The one and only time he confided in someone he was betrayed. When life gives him another chance to get what he needs Eric is not so sure he can try again but Marcus is willing to wait for Eric. Marcus will do what he can to help Eric through it all if Eric would give him the chance.

This is an engaging story of finding your match in someone and taking the chance on them. Eric is much stronger than he thinks and Marcus sees that. Marcus is a good man who shows Eric that nothing is wrong with his wants and needs. I enjoyed seeing how their attraction turns into something more. As their relationship progresses Eric is able to let go more and more. I am excited to see what happens in their second book. The author does a nice job of giving these characters depth and emotions as well as bringing life to the secondary ones as well. i enjoyed the way narrator Kenneth Obi brought me into this world and had me engaged in the story.

Very Well Done, Great Story, Wonderful Narrator

Oh holy hot damn, that was amazing!!! Gah, I was so in the mood for some age-play and this just worked 100% of the time.

Those were two fantastic characters and they worked so well together - I completely fell in love with them. I can't wait to see how their relationship goes in Quiet Strength.

Also, I did the audio version of Silent Strength and truly enjoyed the performance by Kenneth Obi. It took a bit of adjustment on my part because of the way he used a different voice for the narrator vs. each of the main characters. In the end I really liked it because I never had to wonder if the character was speaking aloud or thinking in his head. He also completely pulls off the huge difference in these two guys' personalities. Very well done.

Super sweet MM Age Play Romance

MA Innes creates such beautiful and sweet stories that help those “not in the know” understand the age play life. This story had great character development and connection throughout the book. I’d even love to see a follow up of these two the future! Kenneth Obi did a fantastic job with the narration, as usual.

Silent Strength

I Love this book. There is no question that MA Innes, Writes the Best books when it comes to "Taboo" & "Kink" type subjects and this one was Great. And I have to say that this book was made so much better with the Narration from Kenneth. I loved listening to this story in Audio.
The DD/LB Relationship between Marcus and Eric is so Sweet and just progresses at a wonderful pace showing how perfect they are for each other. Eric is Adorable and Shy and isn't sure how to put into words what he wants after being completely embarrassed as a teen. Marcus is the Perfect Daddy for him, letting Eric know that its Completely Ok to want different things from other people. Kenneth does the best narration for both Marcus and Eric making their personalities really shine through for this story. He gives Eric a more "boyish" voice when needed and makes sure Marcus is all "Daddy". I really did love this book's narration and had a smile on my face the entire time I listened to it.
And even if it is out of your comfort zone its still worth a listen, or even just read this book, because the Author does such a good job making sure the ABDL subject tests your boundaries and wont push you too far into exploring everything in this specific lifestyle, but if you haven't been introduced to ABDL before this will be an eye opener and you will definitely be learning something new.
I cannot Wait to hear Book two in Audio...

Sticky Sweet

So sweet and naughty at the same time! Marcus and Eric are two puzzle piece that have been looking for each other. The way that they give each other exactly what they need is so sweet and endearing but also hot and sexy. Narration is good! Highly recommend!
