Publisher's Summary

When she moved to her family's ancestral ranch, single mom Sierra McKettrick was disconcerted by the Triple M's handsome caretaker, Travis Reid. But when her son claimed to see a mysterious boy in the house, and an heirloom teapot started popping up in unexpected places, Sierra wondered if the attraction between herself and Travis might be the least of her worries.

In 1919, widowed Hannah McKettrick lived at the ranch with her son and her brother-in-law, Doss. Her confused feelings for Doss and her son's health problems occupied all her thoughts...until the family teapot started disappearing.

Could Sierra and her ancestor, Hannah, be living parallel lives?

Great

This is a great book, its romantic but exciting as well. It's not just a "they fall in love and into bed instantly" type book. Really great story line, complicated, emotional etc. Awesome.

Graphic

I stopped listening when the love story became graphic sex. I also found it disruptive (maybe more by listening than if I were reading it myself) that there were two stories, one from 1919 and one from present day. The narrative switched back and forth constantly.

Loved it...

I really enjoyed this book. The author did a great job, with the two romance stories.

Then and Now, Together

A friend recommended this book as well as the other McKettrick novels. She said she very much enjoyed McKettrick's Way, so I ordered it and told her so. She then said I should read "Sierra's Homecoming" first, so I ordered it, as well. I quickly got into this story and found the characters entertaining, curious, and not lacking in wit and humor. I could see this book being made into a movie, or Hallmark featured movie. The narrator helped to pull the story into a delightful mind's eye view.

Mostly liked

I liked this book mostly. The thing that bothered me a bit was Hannah's inner conversations. Her thoughts concerning Doss. She kept saying things that clearly said she didn't care about him and yet was angry at him for not displaying huge amounts of affection towards her. This was very hypocritical to me. Other than that, I enjoyed the story.

Entertaining story, interesting bridge for series

I enjoyed the narrator. She did a very good job with the various voices including male, female, old and young. The story itself was enjoyable, particularly the parallel lives angle. My biggest complaint would be that I wish it had been longer to allow for more character development. It started off pretty strong, and there was a lot of potential with Sierra's past and her trying to reconcile with her mother as well as Travis's issues but it all hit the fast forward button towards the end and wrapped up in a pretty little bow. That isn't the worst just unsatisfying to some degree. But I still enjoyed the story that was there and am now going to jump into the series. I want to know more of the McKettrick's of the past as well as the contemporary ones.

Great Listen

This was a delightful book, loved the concept of going back in time.

Love the whole series of the Mc Kettricks.

The narrator was amazing how she told the story she made it come alive.
