Publisher's summary

When parenting authorities Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish sat down to write the national best seller How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk, they found they could not contain their chapter on sibling rivalry. No matter how much they tried to pare down their advice, they found the subject inexhaustible - and parents agreed!

Excellent resource!

This is a book I will listen to time and time again. The guidance of what to say and what not to say to promote healthy sibling bonds are so amazing. I’ve noticed a difference after a day.

This is a great book with a lot of new information

Would you consider the audio edition of Siblings Without Rivalry to be better than the print version?

For me yes. Depends on the person. I tend to process things better when I lessen to books. I do own both.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Siblings Without Rivalry?

I wouldn't say that this book has memorable moments. The style of the book is written in a way that I am able to recall the stories (examples) and then I can try the strategies out on my children.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Siblings Without Rivalry?

Too much to list.

So helpful!

As an only child it was wonderful to gain some understanding of what it must be like to have a sibling so that I can better help my two boys.

Very good reading; great advice

This book, in its sprint form, has comic illustrations to demonstrate its points. The reader does a fine job of relating the information in those, so I did not feel the book suffered for lack of graphic support. The advice is sound, deceptively simple, absolutely worth implementation.

An empathetic and practical guide if you’re growing a family

Thoughtfully written and shares real examples of everyday struggles, as well as the emotional development the adults have had as a result of their relationships with their siblings. Insightful and again, a great practical read for those what to do moments between two or more kids- a problem solving approach.
