Story
I didn't know I was that person. You know - the one who gets the kids. But that's what the will said. June Lawler: legal guardian. All my sister's kids have ever known is San Francisco, but I have to take them back to our family's small-town farm. The last thing I'm expecting is the dark car rolling down my dirt driveway. The man who steps out of it is as rich as he is rude, and I want nothing to do with him. Even if my traitor body didn't get the message.

I’d like to preface this by saying it was never my intention to ever get involved in a workplace romance, let alone get involved with the most surly, agitating, and pompous man I’ve ever met who just so happens to be my new friend’s brother. My intentions were to show students how English and reading books could actually be fun and make a new life for myself in the suburbs of Chicago.

He's my business partner, my good friend, and the man I've craved for years. But I've resisted the sexy Brit, and I plan to keep up my walls because I've been there, done that, and I know how much it hurts when you let someone into your heart. Then an opportunity comes along for us to snag the business deal of a lifetime. The catch? We need to pretend we're married to pull off this high-stakes deal.

My new assignment at work: Test out toys. Yup, that kind. Well, technically, it’s to test the app that controls the toys remotely. One problem? The showgirl who’s supposed to test the hardware (as in, the actual toys) joins a nunnery. Another problem? This project is important to my Russian boss, the broody, mouthwateringly sexy Vlad, a.k.a. the Impaler. There’s only one solution: Test both the software and the hardware myself...with his help.

I’m not boyfriend material. If a trail of broken hearts and a piss-poor record of failed relationships have taught me anything, it’s this. My buddies are happy to give me shit about my latest breakup from here to next Sunday. Thanks, but I’d rather have a root canal. And a vasectomy. At the same time. Relief comes in an unlikely package - the gorgeous and feisty Maren. She just so happens to be my best friend’s sister, so that’s not awkward at all.

Story
The first time I met Hudson Rothschild was at a wedding. I’d received an unexpected invitation to one of the swankiest venues in the city. Hudson was a groomsman and quite possibly the most gorgeous man I’d ever laid eyes on. He asked me to dance, and our chemistry was off the charts. I knew it wasn’t a good idea to get involved with him, considering the wedding I was at. But our connection was intense, and I was having a great time. Though the fun came to a screeching halt when Hudson figured out I wasn’t who I’d said I was.

My love story all started with a letter. Only it wasn’t from the man I’d eventually fall in love with. It was from his daughter. A sweet little girl named Birdie Maxwell who’d written to the magazine that I worked for. You see, once a year my employer fulfilled a few wishes for readers. Only that column didn’t start up again for months. So I fulfilled some of her wishes myself. It was harmless…so I thought. Until one day I took things too far. While anonymously granting yet another of Birdie’s wishes, I got a look at her father.

Publisher's Summary
A sexy romance from USA Today best seller Tawna Fenske, performed by Sebastian York and Emma Wilder!
Buying a cult compound to build a tiny town? Piece of cake. Being one of the suckers who falls in love on TV? Hell, no.
Lucky for me, I found a CFO who shares my urge to skip the mating game part of my family’s social experiment and reality show. Vanessa and I can cast the cops, teachers, and nurses needed for a self-contained community, and leave the dating mess to my siblings.
Easier said than done. Vanessa’s smart and funny and hot as hell, and for once, I can’t focus on running the show. Somewhere between a sexy waterslide ride and adopting dog, we share a helluva lot more than spreadsheets. The only thing riskier is realizing someone’s out to destroy our project before it’s off the ground.
How do I save the business, protect my family, and keep my hands off the sexy CFO?
For once, I’m not sure I’ve got it all under control.

This was my first Tawn Fenske but will not be my last. I can't wait for more about Juniper Ridge. I loved the setting and the reality TV idea. This was very unique and that is refreshing. I liked the Judson family and can't wait to see what's in store for the other siblings. Dean and Vanessa were dripping with chemistry from the beginning and their love story was sweet. I enjoyed the fun scenes in this book so much (the water park). This book left me smiling when it was over.
The narration was great. I have missed Sebastian York and was excited to see him in something new and an age appropriate story. Emma Wilder was perfect for Vanessa!

Laughing and falling at the same time
This was my first book by the author and I had so much fun! Show Time is a swoon-worthy steamy romance with beautiful, light-hearted moments and a super sexy couple. In addition to that, the story introduces some amazing secondary characters and I really look forward to getting to know them in future books! And to complete the package, Emma Wilder and Sebastian York do a great job as always!! Their Vanessa and Dean are hilarious and really sweet.

Exciting, Funny, and Steamy Romance!
Wow, what an exciting, funny, and steamy romance! This is my first book by Fenske and she captured my imagination with this crazy concept right from the start. She set up this series beautifully, helping us to get to know all the Judson siblings who are in charge of creating and running this reality tv community. This story is filled with rich characters, an exciting and heartfelt storyline, fun banter, and lots of steam. It starts with the oldest brother Dean who feels the need to take care of everyone, not taking time to enjoy his own life, until he hires CFO, Vanessa Vincent. She is smart and funny, and the sparks between them ignite immediately. They both live on the compound and can't stay away from each other. When mysterious things start to happen, Dean tries to take care of it of his own at the risk of pushing Vanessa away. This entertaining story is brought to life beautifully by Sebastian York, and Emma Wilder. They made me laugh, swoon and cheer for Dean and Vanessa's HEA. I had fun listening to this fast paced, exciting, hilarious, and steamy story and can't wait for more from Juniper Ridge!

I want to go to Juniper Ridge!
4.5 wholly hilarious stars. This was just the story I needed right now. It was refreshing to escape to a non-COVID world with strong, mature characters. This was my first Tawna Fenske but won’t be my last.
There are a lot of characters to get to know which was confusing at first, however after just a couple chapters everyone developed their own personality, much thanks to Emma Wilder. She hit the ball out of the park on this one. She is always good but in this story she somehow was able to convey the personality and a different voice to each character. And her mail voice is fantastic! She nailed it, and Sebastian York was great as always.
I found myself pretty invested in these characters, their relationships, their personal growth and the intricacies of the storyline. Vanessa was strong and independent and Dean was very lovable, even through his flaws. I really enjoyed the way this author weaved in a lot of humor, emotion, and a little mystery into this story and especially loved the backdrop of a reality show – I actually would love to watch this show! The story kept me guessing and very engaged the whole time. Highly recommend and very much looking forward for more from Juniper Ridge!

Fenske makes it easy to fall heart deep, rather quickly. Show Time blends trademark humor with irresistible emotion and steals away with your heart. Count on Fenske to prove slightly off center can be a perfect fit. Wilder and York are showstoppers with their unpredictable, over the top, unforgettable delivery of Vanessa and Dean. Falling in love has never been so chaotic.

I loved this audio of Show Time. I have always liked Tawna Fenske's books. Getting to listen to Sebastian York and Emma Wilder bring Dean and Vanessa to life is icing on the cake. The concept for the reality show is different from others because they're building a whole community with real people doing their jobs - police, teachers, professionals, etc. I can't wait for the next book to see what happens.

Fun story with an amazing narration
Dean and Vanessa have sworn off relationships and are, respectively, the CEO and the CFO of a new reality show. Amidst working to select participants, trying to figure out who is boycotting their work and getting the show on the air, they begin to fall for each other. The narrators were perfect and the story made me cry and laugh out loud. I can’t wait for the rest of the series since I am as much in love with the concept and the secondary characters as I was with this first book.

Fun and Mysterious
Confession, the thing that attracted me to this audiobook was the narrators. Emma Wilder is my favorite female narrator, and Sebastian York is well Sebastian York. I am happy to report that the story is great.
I loved that the story was set against what sounds like an amazing reality tv show. It was an exciting setting. Show Time is romantic suspense, and between the show and the fact it’s being filmed on a former cult compound, there were quite a few suspects. The characters were also great. I liked how smart both Dean and Vanessa were. Vanessa was far from a damsel in distress, and that was nice to see in a romance.
To say Dean liked control was a bit of an understatement, and seeing Vanessa break through his control issues was great. These characters really grew together throughout the book, and I love seeing that in romance.
Emma Wilder and Sebastian York did a great job. I think their voices fit the characters, and they both did a great job of changing their voices to fit the side characters, so you knew who was talking just by their voices. As usual, their voices conveyed so much emotion with these two, which made me connect to the story even more.

Dean and Vanessa!
Dean and his family are well acquainted with the celebrity lifestyle so it would only seem appropriate that their latest undertaking would be a reality show where single people might just find their perfect match. The last thing he is looking for is love but when he hires Vanessa to handle the finances he begins to second guess that thought.
Due to her romantic past Vanessa is questioning her judgment when it comes to men. She is determined to focus on her job but keeping her relationship with Dean strictly professional is getting more difficult with every day that passes.
Dean has the best of intentions but his habit of taking control can get into trouble with those he loves especially with Vanessa’s need to be independent and control her own destiny. The interactions between them are humorous and hot, the suspense adds another layer to the story and the intriguing secondary characters have us wanting their stories as well. I listed to an audio copy of this book and thought that the narrators were the perfect choice for the characters.

Highly enjoyable romantic suspense
Tawna Fenske is a new author to me, and I must say I was initially drawn by the synopsis and the narrators, Sebastian York and Emma Wilder, two of my favourites. That said I was impressed by the story and the characters. I wasn’t immediately drawn in, it did in fact take me a few chapters to fully understand what was happening, and once it clicked I couldn’t get enough of Dean Judson and Vanessa Vincent. I was invested in their story from the moment Dean interviewed Vanessa for the role of CFO, and they just clicked. The affinity between them was true, their rapport was natural, and add in the fact that their chemistry was palpable, and I knew I was going to love them. Oh, and they’re both ‘dog people’, so yeh, I’m a fan. The story was a bit of a whodunnit, and we were kept on our toes throughout. Lots of suspense within the compound as they trie to decipher who is responsible for the strange goings on, and why this family are being targeted. A sweet, fun and romantic suspense that definitely lends itself to audio.

It's Show Time!
Welcome to Juniper Ridge, Oregon where a cult once resided. Now the land has been purchased by the Judson family in hopes of making a contained city into a reality show. In order to start the process, they Dean, the CEO needs to his a financial officer. Vanessa is perfect for the job and even before she accepts the position is alerted to some security breeches. Now as the family continues their path to start the show, the danger increases and the relationship between Dean and Vanessa deepens. What a fun start to this series! I am intrigued with the idea of the show and can't wait for more to happen. Getting to know the Judson's is fun, from stories of Lana as a child to the protectiveness of Dean over all of his siblings. Each has their own niche which creates a unity striving for the same goal. That's not to say there isn't some sibling rivalry. Dean and Vanessa are meant to be. Their water slide scene had me giggling as I listened! And the suspense angle just added to their love story. I enjoyed getting to know them and hope to continue seeing where this show will go.
You can't get better narration than Sebastian York and Emma Wilder. These two seasoned performers are well suited for their roles. York has that protective sound perfected as a big brother and a boyfriend. Wilder gives Vanessa her all, letting her be clumsy or scared but never losing that confidence. They are audible entertainment at it's best.

I love Sebastian Yotk and Emma Wilder. Both separately and together, anything they narrate goes on my wish list. This was my first book by this author but I'm incredibly intrigued to try more. This is the story of Dean and Vanessa. They are CEO and CFO of a new "town" being set up as part of a reality show. This ticks a lot of boxes for me, workplace romance, small town vibes, steam and suspense. I loved all the side characters and really want them to get their own stories. This was a fun listen and the audio was top notch. Thank you to Little Dog Press for the ALC. I volunteered to listen and review an early copy. All opinions are my own.

Rom-Com + Drama + Sweet Romantic Moments...yes ple
So I finally understand why everyone loves Sebastian York on audiobooks. Let's just say I anticipated his chapters very much.
I hardly listen to audiobooks because I'm more of a reader than listener. However there are some audiobooks that stick because they're so good. Not just because of the cast narrating but because of the story.
Show Time was a brilliant story. The perfect balance of real life, romance and some mystery.
Vanessa Vincent applies for a job as CFO at Juniper Ridge. They're planning to launch a reality TV show which follows everyone who's there lives, and if they fall in love or out of love with people in this small community. However not everything is running so perfectly as they pull together resources for the launch.
Despite hidden drama sparks fly when Vanessa interviews with the CEO. And it's not missed by Dean either, especially when they accidently fall into the backseat of her car. You know as there was a snake around. Trust me it's hilariously awkward.
I loved the interwoven moments of awkwardness or embarrassment. It made scenes funny instead of crindgey and both Emma Wilder and Sebastian York did superb voicing the moments.
It was brilliant listen, one I flew through as sparks contained to fly between Vanessa and Dean after her being hired.
I admired the honesty in the characters. How they owned their flaws and wanted to do better. Also how when they made mistakes they learnt and made changes.
I felt as though I was friends with the whole of Dean's family and Vanessa. I wanted to figure out who was out to get them just as bad as them and was pleastenly surprised when one of my suspicions was correct!
A brilliant read. I'd say it's like Clue but if there was a rom-com involved! No murders too just a lot of mystery!
