Publisher's summary

Snowbound. Sounds so romantic, with visions of cuddling before a roaring fire, hot chocolate spiked with brandy, and a secret elopement.

Wait. What?

My fiancé's father won't stop trying to turn our pending wedding into a three-ring media circus so he can get free publicity for his family's Fortune 500 company. My mother has decided she's done with All Things Wedding and asks her teacup Chihuahua for mother-of-the-bride advice.

They've all gone certifiably mad.

Then the stress from the wedding puts my mother in the hospital, I scream at my future father-in-law in front of a camera crew and the video goes viral, and the romantic wedding that started with Andrew's grand Pride and Prejudice proposal looks less like Jane Austen and more like Dostoyevsky.

So what do you do when you're a fixer and you can't fix something? You give up on it.

Not on Andrew, silly.

The wedding.

Shopping for a CEO's Wife is the 12th book in Julia Kent's New York Times best-selling Shopping series. As Shannon and Declan enjoy their newlywed bliss, Andrew's father wants to exploit Amanda and Andrew's nuptials, much to Amanda's chagrin. Can she learn to stand up to her future father-in-law and fight for what's right? But the real question is: will Spritzy the teacup Chihuahua end up being a flower girl?

Enjoying the story, but slowing down.

I like how each of their relationships have developed and this one seemed to follow a funny line which I enjoy. I am seeing some slowing of the story as both couples get married etc. Wondering if we will see another sibling fall into the love trap soon. This family is funny and I would love to see more positive relationships around the lead characters. James...*Sigh* Enough said I think. At least the Coffin is gone. Hopefully for good. Great performance and many very funny moments.

Full of humor, romance, & hot sexy times

This was a really good next chapter in the Shopping saga. I didn’t originally care for Amanda but she redeemed herself for me in this one. It has lots of family interference and laughs plus lots of hot sex. Looking forward to more. Great narration by Amy McFadden also.

Great Narration!!

This time, Andrew's father took the role of parentzilla, when it came to Andrew and Amanda's wedding.

I listened to the Audiobook which was narrated by Any McFadden, and she did an excellent job. Ofte, some female narrators, voicing male characters, can take you completely out of the momemt. (This case often be the same for male narrators voicing female characters.)

Not so with this narrator. She captured the wit, the sarcasm, the humor, the anger, anguish, disapproval, the sense of outrage, support, and sometimes the downright hilarity of each chart and moment in the book.

I like Dec and Shannon, but Andrew and Amanda have come to be my favorite couple. One of the best scenes was when Amanda confronted James. Another was the whole "tugging" conversation. I mean, "Who knew?"

A really enjoyable listen. Especially during this not so light hearted period of mandatory social distancing. A book to help really lift your spirits. 4.5 stars.

Great Read

Shopping for a CEO’s Wife (Shopping for a Billionaire #12) was another great read by Julia Kent. Andrew’s father wont stop trying to make his upcoming wedding to Amanda a three- ring circus. He is trying to use the wedding as free publicity for his business. Amanda feels as though everyone around her has gone mad. The stress from the wedding puts her mother in the hospital. She finally unleashes on her future father-in-law. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more by Julia Kent.

Over the top Comedy and Romance

Andrew may be Declan's younger brother, but his and Amanda's upcoming nuptials will be just as high profile if James McCormick has his say. But Amanda just wants to remain low key, even if it's only for a fleetingly moment longer. The antics are at the expense of Amanda and are a barrel of laughs, until they're not. The sweet side of romance and the bitter side of life and reflection join together to round out this romantic and comedic addition to the Shopping Series.
As an added bonus, I listened to the audiobook as well. Amy McFadden is a spot-on narrator for Amanda's personality and does an amazing job in bringing this story to life.

Amy Has Done It again - Amazing Job!

Amy does an amazing job bring Amanda to life

I love this entire series and if I had more times I would absolutely reread the entire series before each new release. And Andrew and Amanda are my favorite and I couldn't wait to see what craziness was going to ensue for there wedding after what happened with Declan and Shannon. In complete Julia fashion, I found myself literally laughing out loud and brushing up on my googling skills. This book was amazing!

Andrew and Amanda have a different relationship dynamic than Declan and Shannon that makes it so much fun to read their story. There is just something about their witty banter and sarcasm that I can never get enough of these two. They truly are perfect for each other. It is amazing that these two are able to find their HEA with all the craziness that James is causing and the paparazzi.

I can't wait for the next book in this series! Download this now!
