Publisher's summary

We skipped right over the whole fiancée thing and went straight from girlfriend to wife. At least, I think that's what happened. I woke up after my brother's Vegas wedding reception with my luscious girlfriend in bed with me. We're both wearing wedding rings.

So is her coworker, Josh.

And our Vegas chauffeur, Geordi.

Who the hell am I married to?

Unraveling this mystery will be as difficult as figuring out why Amanda and I are having panic attacks over the thought of being husband and wife.

It's true that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, with one exception:

If she's my wife, we'll make it work.

If she's not? I'll make it happen.

Get the ninth book in Julia Kent's New York Times best-selling romantic comedy series as Andrew and Amanda sort out their wild Vegas night...and the rest of their lives.

5 Shopping for a CEO's Fiancée Stars

I enjoyed the heck out of this series. I had some wonderful laughs some sad moments some thoughtful moments but mostly the laughs.

I loved the first Andrew and Amanda book soooo much probably one of my most favorites if I am being honest… But this one.. yeah this one tops all of them I loved it. Everything comes together and the laughs oh lordy be!

I know Andrew is more of the serious fella but I love that he finds himself in these pickles and just takes it in stride. He doesn't really over think it he just has his people help him get out of the mess. Ha ha..

And no one could be more perfect for him than Amanda. She balances out his crazy. Even if she is a little nutty herself. ;)

I really enjoyed getting to know Declan and Andrews older brother, I would like to see a book with him in it next I think.

Omg the narration… Sebastian York I have said it before and I will say it again.. Grade A stuff right there.. And he even says Pam like a lot cause it’s a character.. Yeah it’s the small things don’t judge me. :p

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Lord what and outstanding listen LOVED IT

Any additional comments?

Oh my lord it has been a long time since I laughed so hard from the first page to the last. I can’t think of anything worse than waking up with 4 people in the room naked with wedding bands on and not know who, what or even if you are married. Even though they can’t seem to remember what happened last night others can remember very well, they even have video of each of their down fall. After the mess they have made of it I doubt they will be doing any drinking anytime soon.

Andrew is alpha all the way not knowing what he wants until he finds out he might not have it. Then goes overboard doing his best to keep it in this case it is Amanda as his wife who may or may not be his wife. It doesn’t help when the families add more fuel to the fire which adds some delightful fun to the read. I can’t think of anything more embarrassing then the whole family seeing you they way these couples are found the morning after. It is a story that sticks with you and keeps going through your mind all throughout the day making you laugh for no reason. My employees were just about ready to lock me up in the fun farm until I shared part of the story with them. I know a few of them have also since read and enjoyed this book.

It is nice to see the male lead the role on the chase almost on bended knees. Let’s not forget Amanda and the role she plays from the orange mess on her body to her love of cats keeps the reader very entertained. There is a lot of confusion between these two people as well as friends and family having a blast with the facts. Throw in two gay men who they may or may not be married to any of them and you have a free for all. I can’t remember the name of the one but he sure got his digs in on Andrew. Which left Andrew saying HELL TO THE NO I might not remember but I sure as Hell didn’t marry that. The guy just couldn’t let up at every turn he throws it back in Andrews face just what they might or might not have done.

Once we find out who is or isn’t married to whom or what there is still more humor as Andrew back peddles giving Amanda what HE THINKS she wants. Which is the norm for men he got it all wrong, with the hoops he jumps through there isn’t any doubt he is in love way over his head? Only a man in love could make such a fool of his self.

Mr. York narration is outstanding really bring the story to life. He puts so much emotion making you believe every word that is written. His insight to the character roles are wonderful as well as his performance. His male and female voices are a delight you always know who is talking and just what they are feeling. There are no background noises or any place where the volume changes from one chapter to the next. If any breaks were taken I could not tell. His character voice for Andrew is just what I thought it should be, powerful, lost and at times angry making you feels everything he does. He hits each emotion with the right tone from excitement to horror of the unknown. This is all done in a very natural way that pulls the listener in and making this a very believable read. I had no trouble at all picturing each scene unfolds just the way the author wanted it to be. Mr. York has a very pleasant voice that brings so much hooking the listener from the first page to the last. I didn’t want to put it down and found things to do so I could listen longer. I am so looking forward to listening to more of his work.

The author knows what it takes to bring laughter to her readers giving them a highly entertaining read that keeps them invest throughout the story. I loved the writing style it is always a pleasure when you pick up a book from a new author and getting a wonderful delightful read that really makes you laugh. This was well written you can tell the author put a lot of thought in to it. NOTE: If you are looking for a clean sweet read you won’t find it here. What the author does deliver is some very hot passionate scenes that really turn the heat up. You have to remember this is from a male’s point of view which means most of them think about and can’t get enough action. You get a wonderful plot that is believable with romance that is a little over the top. Add it all together it is an outstanding read/listen that I plan on reading again. I totally loved it.

Another Great Romantic Comedy!!!

I'm a big fan of Julia Kent and absolutely love her stories. I have listened to several of her books and they are just so funny!

The narrator was outstanding! He brought the story to life. Just make sure to be cautious if drinking/eating anything while listening because you might regret having anything in your mouth. I was laughing so hard at times!!!

This is without a doubt one of my favorite series. It really helps to start from book 1 if you want to understand each character well. You will not regret it. It is definitely worth the money. And there are no cliffhangers in this book.

Fun Quirky Romance

This full-length, standalone audiobook with no cliffhanger was full of humor and heart. Although it is obvious that the past events mentioned were in previous installments of this series, there is not the necessity to have listened to the previous ones. (Though, they are all great, and I recommend them.) Sebastian York brought all the characters to life and did an excellent job making an already entertaining read, a fabulous listen. Totally worth a credit or cash.

ANDREW DOES'N'T KNOW HOW TO 'COURT'

In Shopping for a CEO Andrew and Amanda start dating. This book starts the day after Declan and Shannon's wedding which is Shopping for a billionaires wife. This is Andrew and Amanda's courtship. It's very funny you'll enjoy it.

I love Sebastian York's delivery of humor...he's the best.

Julie I wish you would put your novella's into a box set. You could do duet box sets. I need at least a 7 hour book for a credit. Anyway I'm enjoying the books I've purchased.

Absolutely worth a credit/$$ if it's 7+ hours.

This Series of books is so entertaining

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I love listening to these books. The author is so entertaining. She has quick wit and a great sense of humor. The other books by Julia Kent have been narrated by a woman. This one was by a man. He does a great job. Wasn't sure I would like it, but he does each character wonderfully. Each book seems to be a standalone, except that each of the characters are mentioned in her other books. She does give a bit of background throughout that is helpful, since it was been a while since I listed to the last book. Julia Kent's books are so entertaining. She is a delightful author.

I'm in love with Andrew McCormick

Where does Shopping for a CEO's Fiancee rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of my favorite audiobooks from Julia Kent's Shopping series. Sebastian York *is* Andrew McCormick! His narration matched the voices in my head, down to the last character's inflection and tone of voice. This book continues in the same vein as the previous books, blending quirky humor and outrageously funny scenes with emotionally charged moments that make you fall in love with "being in love" every single time. Kent and York get my vote for best rom/com author/narrator duo!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Shopping for a CEO's Fiancee?

Park the car and finish your beverage before listening to the scene where Professor Victoria Kensley-Wentingham from Boston University fits Andrew for a historically accurate Jane Austen-ish costume to court Amanda. Between York's impersonation of the professor and Kent's depiction of Andrew trying on Regency-era trousers (especially Vince's entrance and the "tweezers" reference), you will laugh out loud until you cry.

Which character – as performed by Sebastian York – was your favorite?

I loved York's interpretation of Andrew McCormick because he brought emotional depth, humility and sensitivity to a classic Type A alpha male. It could be easy to dislike Andrew for his arrogance and superior attitude, but York shatters the stereotype with his nuanced narration, thanks in large part to Kent's well-written characterization.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

In many romance novels, it is the heroine who is depicted as emotionally vulnerable. I loved that Andrew is the one risking it all for love in this book. While this book and this series are first and foremost romantic comedy, Kent always gives readers an emotional wallop that leaves them dazzled.

Any additional comments?

This book is best enjoyed as part of the series so that readers understand the history of the characters and the progression of the interpersonal relationships. A "must enjoy" audiobook recommendation!

Fun Series!

Any additional comments?

This is a great book, this is the ninth book in the Shopping for a Billionaire series written by Julia Kent and narrated by Sebastian York. This is a fun romance that will keep you listening to the end. The narrator Sebastian York did a wonderful job with this book. He did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator. Andrew & Amanda

What did you love best about Shopping for a CEO's Fiancee?

That Andrew and Amanda finally got their S@&T together and they make such a beautiful couple.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Don't don't have favourites characters in this series, I love them all equally

What does Sebastian York bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Ok, so I'm not going to be very popular saying this but.....reading this book was way funnier then the audiobook, I don't think SebYork (with all due respect) made this book as animated and funny as it really is. I'm a big fan of his work but comedy or maybe just this book, was not one of my favourites with him narrating. I enjoy his performance most when his does romantic suspense, even general romance books with some clever and witty one liners. I'm not saying I hated it I did enjoy it, but it's not my favorite.
Julia Kent is still my Rom-Com queen

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

A little chaffing and a lot of loving 😜

Any additional comments?

Looking forward to whatever comes next in this series.
