Great story, simply incredible narration

The story is fun, intriguing, and stoked my curiosity in Japan and Japanese history. Between this and Musashi I’ve been able to begin exploring Japanese history/culture in a very approachable way. The narrator does a superb job, voices really bringing you into the story and being extremely distinctive.

Rich and vibrant, very well preformed although I found it difficult to remember names and places.

The story.

I liked the whole thing. It held my attention all the way through. Any one that believes it is so hard to live in the world today this book kind of opens ones mind.

Masterpiece of story telling

I became absorbed in the world 🌎 of Shogun. Toranaga and Blackstone are fascinating dynamic characters. Huge fan of James Clavell’s work. 🏯❤️👏

Excellent

The plot of this epic tale had my attention the entire way. The characters, the political intrigue, pacing, and most of all the splendid performance by the VA made the journey worth every second. I look forward to continuing Mr Clavell's Asian saga and hearing more of his work brought to life by one of my new favorite VAs.

Awesome story and fantastically narrated. This book needs to be read or listened too multiple times to see all the twist and turns.

Engrossing and delightful

So glad to listen to this after reading the book 45 or so years ago. The performance brought it to life and made it at least as enjoyable now as I remembered, with its fascinating.characters and plot twists.
