When editor Susan Ryeland is given the manuscript of Alan Conway's latest novel, she has no reason to think it will be much different from any of his others. After working with the best-selling crime writer for years, she's intimately familiar with his detective, Atticus Pünd, who solves mysteries disturbing sleepy English villages. An homage to queens of classic British crime such as Agatha Christie and Dorothy Sayers, Alan's traditional formula has proved hugely successful.

William Bennett rewinds the story and focuses the spotlight on Scrooge’s miserly business partner, Jacob T. Marley, who was allowed to return as a ghost to warn Scrooge away from his ill-fated path. Publisher's Summary
Can you solve this?
Holmes and I had been working on a case involving two thieves.
They had done a very good job at covering their tracks, but they hadn’t been smart enough to outsmart Holmes.
We seemed to be a couple of steps behind them, but we still hadn’t figured out where they were headed next.
“Do we have any new information?” I asked Holmes as he looked through some papers on the men.
“The only information I have to gather thus far is that they were born on the same day, in the same year, to the same parents.”
“Why, that must mean that they are twins.”
“No, they aren’t twins.”
“Why, that’s not possible. They must be if they were born on the same day and year, and to the same mother.”
Holmes didn’t respond. He continued to look through the papers in his hands.
Somehow, he was right. Two men had been born on the same day and year to the same mother, yet they were not twins.
How could the men not be twins?

Great book for a Sherlock Holmes collector
I am a Sherlock Holmes fan since my teens; of course, I like a good puzzle. This is the kind of book I would have enjoyed then (and that I enjoy now)
This book contains all type of puzzles, riddles, and brain teasers. some are simple and quite straight forward, others not so much. The clues lead to a map where we will solve a bigger mystery.
As an adult, I enjoyed the book immensely but I think it can also be a great way to introduce the younger listeners into the timeless detective. The art of the book is also lovely, and it has a Victorian feel.
Despite receiving a digital copy for free, I will buy a physical copy of this book - I would love to add it to my Sherlockiana collection!

I loves Sherlock Holmes
I got my boss for secret Santa and decided on this as a gift. He still talked about it a year later, and hoped I would draw him again because of how thoughtful it was.
If you know somebody who is a brainy person, or somebody who likes a challenge, or even somebody who thinks they know everything, a gift like this is top notch.

This book does not disappoint! I love this book
I bought this audible book because I had been watching Mildred T. Walker on his weekly Kindness segments on our local news. This audible book does not disappoint! I love the way he writes with honesty and humor. he begins with those important events in his life at a young age to the present which results in his giving to those in our community with irrational generosity. I really love how he shows the positive effects even a tiny act of kindness can have on someone. This audible book has challenged me to listen to my "knower" and realize that even a small gesture can impact someone! I ended up buying more books to share with friends!

Good idea but...
The only really good thing I can say about this book is the narration which is excellent. There are a mixture of puzzles, riddles, Logic, Lateral Thinking and more, a good mixture of easy to hard questions. What totally killed it for me was the format. The first 50 or so chapters are all the puzzles and the last 50 are the answers, so having listened to the first logic puzzle you then have to listen to 49 more before finding out the answer. This book would be just about 4 stars in printed version but it does not work in audio unfortunately.
I was given this copy of the book in exchange for an honest review which I leave totally voluntarily
