The fiction world of today needs a “Saint” more than it ever did. For years now that scene has been dominated by the “anti-heroes"—those grim gray operators in a sunless sub-culture where global issues are worked out with totally unemotional pragmatism, those hapless uninspired puppets manipulated and expended by ruthlessly dedicated little brothers of Big Brother. It made morbidly fascinating narrative, but it never gave anyone a lift until it climaxed in the hyper-gadgeted parodies of 007 extravaganzas.

The series was worth the listen
The last book of the Holmes classic scripts series...
I listened to all four short stories (written like screenplays) and I really enjoyed them all. This book (the fourth) was not the best in the series but still worth the hour of time spent listening.
The stories are linear, not many twists, but enjoyable. The narrator is fun to listen to as well.
If you enjoy short, fun stories with everyone's favorite detective, you love this book and the whole series.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
It wasn’t until this last chapter that I realized I already had the complete series in one audiobook ha ha. Just as good as the first time I listened to it. Definitely recommend.

The last of four new classic scripts in the world of Sherlock Holmes
Ian shimwell has written four new classic scripts in the world of Holmes and Watson of which this is the final one. They are available individually and also now as a completed volume. I grew up with a love for the old basil rathbone and Nigel Bruce black and white Holmes movies. This story is written and performed in that same spirit. Truly a wonderful addition to any Holmes fans collections. Highly recommended. The narrators deliver that old time movie/radio show feel. Quick Watson We Go On Another Adventure
I felt like this play was sponsored by the Handsome Cab Co.
Besides the constant mention of the Handsome Cab Company throughout the first part of the production, I enjoyed this Script. It was my favorite of the Script series by Ian Shimwell. It wraps up the whole Script storyline. Throughout the entire series, and in particular this last one the author alludes to various Sherlock adventures, and at the end of this Script Watson and Holmes recount how this adventure was similar to all their other adventures (Rathbone & Bruce).
