Publisher's summary

I was robbed of $125,000,000 and I can prove it.

This is a true-life story of how I have gone from heiress to homeless.

My father created an empire, he started out in his two-car garage in 1953. My parents were married for 30 years but their marriage ended in divorce. After the divorce, my four siblings and I helped our father’s business grow tremendously. We were consistently rated at the top in quality and prompt delivery. We had everything going for us. We were respected in the industry and we prospered as a family.

Over the years, my father amassed a fortune. When my father’s health started to fail from the effects of Alzheimer’s, an unscrupulous attorney working with my three older siblings produced a doctored estate plan along with illegally recorded real estate deeds. This attorney falsified company stock certificates and stole millions of dollars in cash assets.

On May 10, 2011, the FBI apprehended my three older siblings. My younger sister and I had no idea what was happening but were entirely cut off from the family and the business with no communication whatsoever. Three months later, I was standing in front of a Federal Judge with no representation and no money. My family had filed multiple lawsuits against me. This was the start of my nightmare.

After 17 lawsuits in eight years, I wrote this memoir. After my father’s death in 2013, my sister and I found out that our $125,000,000.00 inheritance share was gone. I was ordered to live under an alias name and to never publicly make any reference about my family or my last name again. In working with the FBI, they told me “if I knew what was good for me, I would keep my mouth shut".

After eight years all the puzzle pieces fell into place. I have uncovered a blatant, organized white-collar scheme to strip me of my inheritance and blacken my good name. Come with me on my journey of how I have endlessly worked to uncover a corrupt system and expose a law firm and its dirty deeds.

Unbelievable story of Strength

It left me wondering what will happen to the law firm that performed all this fraud? Will justice be served? I hope there’s a sequel describing the events that follow after publication. Story turned my stomach inside out. Narrator was awesome. Keep going the world is rooting for you Stella! I want to know more.

I had tears in my eyes

I never realized the impact of what being a whistleblower would have in someone’s life. There hasn’t been a story like this that I can remember, it’s truly one of a kind! Utterly remarkable and an amazing book to read. I hope something wonderful happens for this woman.

Heartbreaking and Inspiring

This book broke my heart yet inspired me at the same time. The author went through hell with her family and then through another seven layers with the legal system. This memoir is so twisted I just can't seem to understand or justify why a close family would do this a sibling. Stella Rose after everything she has been through is an inspiration women everywhere she didn't stop she kept fighting for the truth. Shelia McLey did a phenomenal job as narrator she really hit home with the emotions she made you feel what Stella went through. Bravo. I highly recommend this book to anyone who thinks that once you get pushed down that is where you stay. Stand up don't let anyone keep you down!
