Good Try

Where to start ... ? The narrator has a very pleasant voice but is very monotone - sounds like she's reading an essay in front of the class ... a very grammatically correct essay! So much so that its impossible to believe that she relaying ordinary conversation - either the author envisioned the most polite family of all time or I'm definitely hanging with the wrong people! I have to confess that I didn't finish this book but I did hang in there for quite awhile. The story had possibilities but the characters and the way they spoke to each other were just too unbelievable for me.
