I absolutely loved Shards of My Heart! This story had me hooked from the very first chapter. Finley Sullivan’s journey as an abuse survivor and single mom is both heart-wrenching and inspiring. I really connected with her strength and the way she balances protecting her heart while still opening herself up to love.

Zane Alexander is the perfect counterpart, torn by his past, yet determined to prove that love and redemption are possible. The chemistry between him and Finley is undeniable, and I loved how their connection grew despite all the obstacles.

The audiobook narration by Bianca Holsein was fantastic, her voice brought both characters to life and made the emotions in the story hit even harder. I couldn’t put it down!

This isn’t your typical celebrity romance; it’s emotional, heartfelt, and hopeful. Nellie K. Neves is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. Even though it’s part of The Forgotten Ones series, it works perfectly as a standalone, so you don’t need to read the other books first.

If you enjoy clean, PG-13-style romances that tug at your heartstrings while giving you hope, this one is a must-read. I can’t wait to see what she writes next!

Finley Sullivan and Zane Alexander meet on the set of his new movie. Zane is a Hollywood star, but carries the scars from an abusive childhood. Finley is an abuse survivor, having run from her attorney husband with only her son in tow. They share such abhorrent experiences and it's about to affect their lives. Zane is an A-list celebrity who has had his struggles with addiction and is recently out of rehab, while Finley has just signed on as the make-up artist for Zane's character and she has no idea what to expect. This is a truly touching story with the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Zane has fallen completely, but Finley is convinced that she isn't able to love again.Besides, she has to protect her son at all times from his abusive father. Learning to trust is very difficult for Finley and, when her ex comes for his son, her ugly past has come back. The angst in this story surfaces when Finley isn't able to commit to Zane because of her trust issues. She definitely annoyed me, but so did Zane by freezing her out. Their split was too long and Zane only took interest in her after her trial. With that little hiccup, the rest of the story was exceptional! Bianca Holstein is a tremendous voice actress. Her dynamic delivery with the proper pace and intonation brings the characters to life with a unique attitude and personality.
