Publisher's summary

Temping sucks, especially when you have a shopping addiction. I started at Seemore Temps when my dreams were shattered and I needed something to pay the bills.

At Seemore Temps they pride themselves on the three B’s. Beauty, Brains, and Bounty. They supply the mostly male-driven businesses of Manhattan with able women that can do the job, and look good too.

Needless to say, we’re a popular agency.

Working for Mason Chase should have been easy. He was married, kind, and a bit of a flirt, but pretty harmless.

Not like James Murtaugh or the Shameless Bastard as I’ve come to call him. He’s the ruthless, arrogant CEO of Renowned Investment Financial, and he’s set his eyes on...me.

He can have any woman he wants and will go to great lengths to have them.

I need this job, but I want, Christ, what do I want? Do I give in? Let him conquer me like some emperor?

Or do I stay in my place and collect the paycheck? We shall see, either way, it’s gonna be interesting.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.

Good Narration Okay Story

The story was just ok. There was quite a bit of potential here but I felt like the story skipped around too much. I would have liked more detail on several parts of the story. The partner, the friend, their past. The relationship between the lead characters went from zero to overly committed with no explanation.
The saving grace of this one was the narration. They made an okay story seem better. I was glad I listened but would not put this one in the top of my list from the Cocky Hero collection.

Hmm, Mixed feelings

This is a love story about temp and the boss. It was an okay read/listen but not my favorite. I felt there was too many working parts to the short story. Ariella has tragedy in her past that leaves her heart closed off. James is an alpha male that worked hard to get where he is at. He has his eyes set on making Ariella his. I wished the story was longer and expanded more because I feel like it was rushed

James & Arielle

First let me say, I did like this story. This is the first book I have read by this author. There was so much going on I was not sure what to focus on. I honestly felt like I missed something because “love” was thrown around so fast.
That being said, the instant chemistry between James and Ariella was palpable, their banter was fun, and it did keep me entertained.
Narration was fantastic

Both are shameless!

I was worried about this one. At one point I almost turned it off and returned it near the beginning. I wanted a romance not a shameless orgy. I was relieved when things weren't as they seemed, but it cemented my belief that both are shameless. They both screw around without shame. Anywhere, at anytime and with anybody. How does this feel like a romance when it feels like two loose people who decide they like sex best with one person who seems to do it for them. I didn't feel real emotion from either character. Nothing I could really appreciate when I am trying to enjoy a love story. What love? More like lust with a side of no one else can have you, but me. Gee, how sweet. I was not impressed. The performance itself was good.

Horrible male

The first book that started the “Hero Club Series” Soraya and Graham’s story Is “Stuck-Up Suit” by ViKeeland and Penelope Ward it took me forever to figure it out.
You don’t need to read the first book but if you want to....
HORRIBLE MALE narrator. Grace Grant is great but couldn’t finish book. He sounds like a robot.

Horrible

It’s hero club not sex club. All sex no story. Author clearly doesn’t know the difference.

So terrible

This was soo terrible the story was very surface with no real development. The male narrator was so awful. The banter was just cringe worthy. Ugh was so hard to finish!

I can’t finish this one

No character development!! I can’t connect to anyone in the story ( what little story there is). I can’t finish this one. I think it is a try for erotica instead of a love story. It wasn’t even erotic!! The male voice seemed robotic but he didn’t have a real story to read so I don’t think he was terrible, just needed better material to work with.
