Publisher's Summary

For Lorelei Warner, being perfect isn't everything it's cracked up to be. She did what her straitlaced parents wanted: Became a lawyer, married her college boyfriend. But since her husband ran off with another man and her career became a nonstop bore-fest, Lorelei has turned to her best friends and Fool Me Once Investigations to find fulfillment and adventure.

When a routine subpoena delivery turns up a dead body, Lorelei knows that solving the murder is exactly what she needs to boost her confidence - until private investigator Dallas Osborne walks in and takes over the case. Dallas has always rubbed Lorelei the wrong way. It's aggravating enough that he's a pompous ass, but he's also entirely too good-looking.

If she wants to catch the killer, Lorelei will need to loosen up and defy her parents - not to mention the law. And she'll need to partner with Dallas, working closer (much closer) to the sexy investigator than she ever expected.

It was a fun and flirty book.

It was a fun and flirty book. I loved listening to it. It was a great way to end this series. I definitely recommend this book, this author, and this series. And the narrator did a wonderful job on all three books.

Still Short But Better Than Book 2

These two clash and bicker while investigating a murder, which keeps things interesting. There's also a really grouchy cat, that reminds me of a lot of real cats and cracks me up. It's also why I prefer dogs.

Fun Series!

Fun, quick listen on audiobook. This had the silly humor I enjoy and had me laughing out loud in quite a few places. Great side characters that added to the fun. Narrator did a really good job. She has a great voice and was easy to listen too. This is the same narrator for all three books in the series and she stayed consistently good throughout.

Shame on you if you don't read this series.

I loved this book. Each book was excellent. The narration was fabulous. This book is about the lawyer looking for something more than what her folks want for her. Her discovery of herself is funny and well written. Definitely worth reading.

Loved This One<br />

A great ending to a pretty good series. Glad I stuck with it till the last story. It would be great to see a series where the brothers/dad fall in love.

Any additional comments?

This is one of my many free read and listen with KU and loved it. It is filled with lots of humor and some hot smexy scenes. Amy McFadden is quickly becoming one of my favorite female narrators. Tara Sivic is a new to me author, but I have see great reviews of her work. This is a book and series that I will be happy to purchase and keep in my library. I love being able to sample new authors and narrators with my KU and have actually purchased many of my free read and listens with KU so that I can keep them in my library. I highly recommend this book and series.

Too much swearing for my taste!

Like the previous two Fool Me Once novels, this is both light and entertaining. No depth of characters and a very light storyline. The focus is on the death of a Millionaire and given the simplicity of the solution to the crime, the rest of the novel is quite pointless!

The main let down of all of these novels for me is, the overuse of profanity! Because I do not swear myself, it jars and doesn't seem to add to the story! Not in the previous books and neither in this one, despite Lorilei's inability to swear seems to be the true focus of the book.

These books form part of the Kindle Unlimited package and as such, although I would not use a valuable credit to purchase them, did not feel like a bad investment!
