This audiobook, suggested by a friend,
I think Mari Silva gives a great overall description of what shamanism is and where it comes from. There are no mystical, magical ramblings. It's very straightforward and based upon the analysis Mari Silva did personally as an anthropologist. SHe's taken the mystery out of shamanism and does it more as a science, or methodology.
