The Way

Any additional comments?

This series follows a reluctant shaman, named Joanne Walkingstick, as she stumbles along the four paths to enlightenment saving the world along the way. The protagonist has a hilarious inner voice which will keep the reader smiling as s/he explores adventures with the Wild Hunt and more. Great writing; great reading. This is the final installment. Even though this isn't the best book in the series, this is a great series.

great book, involved read

i liked the book overall. it had some slow parts bit overall was good. always nice when good wins and bad creates havoc.
like the female hetro overall and I will probably read the other books now also.
I was worried that because it was a harlaquin book it would be sappy romance...but it was just the right blend of action, drama, and romance.

Wrapping all the loose ends

I feel in love with both the characters and the audio narrator in the process of listening to the whole series. My only challenge by this last book was that I really needed to be paying full attention. No getting distracted, out I realized I had missed something that might be important in this final unfolding and resolution. I was truly sorry to have finished the series, and will likely listen to it all over again.

Coming of age!

Joanne Walker along with her cast of characters is one of my favorite paranormal series. With that being said, this was one of the most difficult books for me to comprehend and stick with. There are new entities, new shaman techniques and disciplines, and both new and old characters making an appearance. While Walker is learning and dealing with both enhanced and completely new abilities; in a sense the reader or listener is also. Regardless, this is an exciting tale of Walker coming of age in her shamanic profession, cleaning up some old scores, and establishing her place in the paranormal world. I may have to go back to listen to it again!

I want more! I love this series

Even this is supposed to be the end... I want to here what her life is like after this. Life is a journey so what is next even if it isn't so dramatic I'm sure it would be interesting

Room for More!

Great Series. In this most recent journey, as is appreciated, the author wove a tapestry between worlds, created enough fantasy to be believable, created joy and sorrow, and missed friends... There's room, in the hearts of the remains chosen family, particularly the heart of a special young woman (in addition to Walker) for more weaving to come!
