Publisher's Summary

A see yourself out note isn't how you want to celebrate the morning after your first one-night stand.

The first time I meet Archer Callahan is when I block him in a parking spot.

The second is a fender bender.

The third is at a bar, drinking away our problems, and finding our way to his bed.

I never expected to see him again.

That changes when a month later, he's introduced as my brother's new business partner.

In need of a job, I'm hired at their bar, much to Archer's dismay.

We hate each other.

We're off-limits.

But every time we're together, flashbacks of that night shake through us.

We push, we pull, until one of us breaks.

It Takes A LONG Time For Them To Finally Get Together . . .

Okay, let me just say this: THIS should have been Book 1 of the series!! Let me know if anyone else thought that . . . It was WAY better than the REAL Book 1 was! It went into a LOT more detail than Book 1 ever did, and was way better written, too. Now, that being said, it wasn’t 5 worth, either (that’s why I only gave it 4 stars 😉). It started off great; I really liked Georgia’s (the main female lead) upbeat personality and all her sassiness. And even Archer (the male lead) (although he WAS a jerk, but I knew there had to be a reason for his “jerk-iness”), too. BUT it took a LONG time for him to stop being such a jerk; WAY too long, in my opinion. It got to the point when he was down-right mean to Georgia, even cruel unnecessarily to her. I’m not saying that he physically abusive to her or anything. (Don’t worry, he wasn’t.) Let me give an example that really made me mad (and I don’t really consider this much of a Spoiler Alert or anything in saying this, don’t worry): towards the middle of the book, Georgia & Archer (along with their friends) go to a dance club to celebrate their friend’s birthday, and a perfectly nice, respectful guy (at least he didn’t give us (the reader) any reason to believe otherwise in this one, short exchange they had) asked Georgia if she would like to dance . . . Well, right as she was about to say “yes” to the guy, Archer comes up and basically “shoos” him away from her in NOT a very nice way at all. I just about gave up and quit the book at that point. Yes, I know that that made Archer jealous, but he had NO right to do that! I mean, sure, if the guy was being inappropriate with Georgia or something, then yeah, okay, but he wasn’t!! He was perfectly NICE, as I said!! I found myself saying, “Archer, back the *freak* off!! She doesn’t BELONG to you!!” (I use *freak* to avoid cussing in this review, but you get the idea. 😅) I also found myself yelling at Georgia, saying, “Georgia, move on!! He’s NOT worth it!! Go dance with the nice guy if you want!!” But, of course, she didn’t . . . 😒 I mean, I KNOW I’m support to be ROUTING for them since this is a Romance novel, but I found it EXTREMELY hard to do towards the middle of the book. As I said, I ALMOST quit reading the book!! Also, it took a LONG time for us (the reader) to know exactly WHY Archer was so cruel to Georgia. Maybe if we (the reader) KNEW why Archer was like the way he was earlier in the novel, I wouldn’t have had such a hard time routing for the guy (and the couple) . . . Anyway, that’s what I thought of the novel . . . Though it took WAY long for Archer to become the “good guy”, the guy worth routing for, in the end, it WAS better than Book 1! 😊 And now I'm looking forward to Book 3: Lincoln (Archer's brother) & Cassidy's story!! Let's hope Lincoln isn't such a jerk-face in his story . . . ! 😅

Narration was great but

could not save this dumb story. Archer was annoying. The whole story was contrived & inauthentic. Save your money/credit.

Fantastic

Archer and Georgia first encounter is one to remember. A fender bender leading to drinks and then a one night stand. However he is not who he said he is and not long later they meet again but Archer is now Georgia’s brother, Cohen (from Stirred, book one) new business partner to open the bar, Twisted Fox. When Georgia is in desperate need of a job Cohen hires her at the bar and her and Archer now have to work in close proximity.

These two are a vibe. There is so much tension and animosity in the beginning. He lied about who he is, and she just doesn’t let it down. She is sassy and strong willed. She’s everything we like to see in a strong heroine. Archer is broken. His family is a disaster and he just wants away from the drama.

I love the flirtation and angst that was brought between these two. There was a perfect amount of push and pull. Their whole development was fantastic.

I listened to the audio and really loved these narrators (Aiden Snow & CJ Bloom) to bring these characters to life.

This book is great!

This is a must read!!!
I absolutely loved this book so much.
These characters are some of the best characters I have read. The broken man and the sassy woman. You have to love a story when it ends in a HEA.
But Archer and Georgia will leave you breathless and wanting more of this world. The chemistry with the characters and even the secondary characters is off the charts.
I had to stay up all night to read this book since I couldn't stop reading.

Archer has become my favorite character!!! But that seems to change with every new book that Charity writes.
But the love in this book is epic!!!

Georgia & Archer

Shaken is the second novel in the Twisted Fox series by Charity Ferrel.
Archer and Georgia bump into each other a few times (when they’re having bad days) before getting together for one night of passion that neither of them can forget when all they wanted was to forget what was going on with their lives. Fast forward a few weeks and they meet again when Archer goes into business with Cohen, Georgia’s brother, starting their hate relationship.
This story full of comedy and heartbreak and some steamy moments ending in a sweet HEA.
CJ Bloom was a great choice as the voice of Georgia bringing all her sass to life. Aiden Snow voices Archer making it impossible to not love him in all his raspy, sexiness, broken glory.

Archer and Georgia's story

I loved listening to the second audio in the Twisted Fox series.  This is Archer and Georgia's story.  We met them in book 1 where there was a lot of tension between them at the bar - now we know why!

This author pulled me in to this story right from the start, there was humour, raw emotion, passion, frustration and hurt as Archer and Georgia's relationship went from strangers who kept bumping into each other, to working together and more but can Georgia stay with Archer during his bumpy journey to come to terms with a past that is full of grief, loss, blame and hurt in order to have a future he so deserves?  You can't help falling in love with our main characters and although they have a slow burner, enemies to lovers relationship, they will pull at your heart strings as their relationships twists and turns towards the future.  I also love how all the characters interlink from book 1 and obviously forward for the rest of the series.  I feel like I am part of their circle of friends and can't wait to listen to the rest of the series.

The narrators were expertly matched, Aiden Snow bringing Archer to life with passion, attitude and smoothness, I just loved his voice.  CJ Bloom was amazing as Georgia, such a wonderful range of vocals from sassy to concern and everything in between.  I would definitely consider choosing a book if one of these narrators were involved.

If you want to listen to a well written/narrated, feel good, rollercoaster of a romance that twists and turns it's way through so many emotions then you will not be disappointed with 'Shaken'.  Add it to your list of audio books to listen to.

4 Stars!

Archer annoyed at times, but he won me over by the end!

After an initial disastrous meeting, Archer and Georgia keep running into each other. This leads to them opening up to each other and falling into bed with each other. After this, they find out that Georgia’s brother is Archer’s new business partner. Some other things happen at the beginning that makes their relationship fractured and not a great idea. This begins their enemies-to-lovers story.

Not going to lie, after their initial interactions at the beginning, I was not expecting them to take soo long to get together; this is definitely slow burn. But I think it made the story all the more interesting to read. The push and pull they had towards each other was frustrating at times, but by the end, it was worth it. Plus, when they were still in their enemies’ stage, their banter was so good and funny!

Side note: I just love the way in which the characters interactions and banter in this series are written, and this book is no exception.

Love Georgia and Archer!

Aiden and CJ did a fabulous job bringing Archer and Georgia to life.

I'm so freaking happy right now! Although, my heart has taken a beating.

You saw in the first book the tension between Georgia and Archer - and in this one you find out exactly what went down.
It's not an easy story, there is a lot of hurt, grief and loss. But, there is happiness and light - and there are also some very magical moments.

I loved the glimpses I got of Georgia in the first book (I knew she was going to be a fun character) and after hearing her story, I can honestly say; she is amazing. Her heart is so big, she sees the best in everyone and is everything I want to be when I grow up.

Archer - I'm not going to talk about him much because this book IS his story. You need to read/listen to it to understand him. What I will say is: he is complicated, broken and so much more than I ever expected.
