Story
It has taken over 80 years, but at long last, the British government’s embargo on reporting this slice of diplomatic history has been lifted. It was in November 1940 that a senior minister at the British foreign office in blacked-out London commissioned Holmes and Watson to go to Berlin to negotiate a prisoner of war swap with the German high command. And the price demanded by Nazi Propaganda Minister, Joseph Göbbels, for any prisoner's release? That the two work with the Berlin police to capture a serial killer who is stalking the city’s railway network.

Story
In the year 1908, Holmes believed himself to be in retirement. Watson was once again in private practice and unwed. Mrs. Hudson had gone to Sussex to act as Holmes's housekeeper. But the fates had agreed that Martha Hudson and John Watson should be together. Or had they? When Dr. Watson proposes to Martha Hudson, it sets off a series of events that only Sherlock Holmes can deal with. Watson has already had three wives—all have died under unfortunate circumstances. Colm Campbell, Martha Hudson's nephew, thinks there is more here than meets the eye.

Publisher's summary
In a new novel of supernatural adventure, Sherlock Holmes faces his greatest challenge, to locate and defeat the wraith of a powerful wizard. With the assistance of an incorruptible saint, an immortal librarian, a troupe of ghosts, a Scotland Yard Inspector, and, of course, Dr. Watson, Holmes finds himself in a race against time to protect both the human world and the Shadows from "the most evil man who ever lived".
Why does a beautiful woman receive jewelry delivered to her pillow every night?
How do impossible actors bloody the stage of the Lyceum Theatre?
Why do dead men ramble the streets of Whitechapel?
Why are Palermo’s restless spirits whispering the name of Sherlock Holmes?
Just returned from their American adventure, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are quickly entangled in this web of seemingly unrelated events. With his innate knowledge of the secret world of the supernatural, Holmes quickly recognizes that these incidents hold dire portents: a powerful enemy, “the most evil man who ever lived”, has emerged from the dark realm of the Shadows. A close call with this foe sends Holmes in search of a missing spell, which is written on a page of the infamous Devil’s Bible. Should Holmes’s enemy reach this incantation first, his power will increase and both the mortal world and the Shadows could fall.
Holmes and Watson race against time to defeat their deadliest opponent to date, enlisting new helpers from the realms of spirits and shades. But their enemy also has an apprentice whose unnatural gifts may exceed Holmes’s powers. The darkness is closing in on Holmes and Dr. Watson senses that his friend may no longer be able to balance his mortal nobility against his Shadow inheritance.
From the comfortable Baker Street sitting room to the dark streets of Whitechapel and the terrifying crypts of Palermo, the chase is on to save the world…and the soul of Sherlock Holmes.

It was 1970 in a defeated Rhode Island fishing town. Vietnam and Nixon dominated the national news. Both the near and distant future looked bleak. But they were five inseparable high school friends with something incredible in common: an unwavering resolve to look after each other no matter what hell life threw at them. And they were on a mission. The plan was simple: Go off the grid before they turned 18 to avoid the draft. They’d sell some grass, stack some cash, then head west and start a commune. What could possibly go wrong?

Story
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.

This was an interesting take on Sherlock Holmes with a supernatural twist added. I enjoyed it,but prefer the traditional Holmes. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did an exceptional job bringing it to life.

Sherlock and the supernatural!
Shadowwraith by Tracy Revels is a very engaging Sherlock Holmes adventure. Holmes and Watson take on a variety of sinister supernatural villains. I enjoyed the story and the fantasy elements woven with the classic Holmes elements. The narration by Michael Langan was wonderful. His performance brought the characters and story to life. I received a free code for my honest review.
