What a fantastic series

I am loving the Others of Edenton series. When I read the story it seemed to pick up in the middle of lives in progress. Each of the couples have intriguing paranormal powers and the couples have great chemistry.

This book does not belong in the shadows

Shadows of the Past was Amethyst's story, it carries on from book #1 and book #1.5. I really liked Amethyst she was a caring soul who doesn't like what her fae powers can do.
Hayden the suspicious Sheriff we met in previous books has a larger role in this book, I loved seeing more of him, I wish we got to see more of what his Earth Fae powers can do. Hopefully we can see that somewhere in future books.
We saw a lot more of Preston then I was expecting. You could say his life path changes in the book, I can't wait to see what instore for him in the future.
Now the Robert, Liz and Tremaine triangle is intriguing... Ms Rivers give me more!

I have loved this narrator during the other books of this series, but her voice for Amethyst grated on me a little too much in this book, I had to listen in short stints because I couldn't handle it for long periods.

The storyline flowed really well and like I said earlier I just adore all these characters. I can't wait to pick up the next book that Brandy gives us. Brandy L Rivers is an Author who I will automatically buy anything she writes, as she never disappoints.

Left me holding my breath, laughing and cheering to myself. It is suspenseful yet amazing. LOVE the character development in this one.

Love this story

I absolutely adore the dynamic between Ame and Hayden in this novel. They are fierce once they stop fighting everyone around them. The author does great at leading into other storylines so that we know that more is coming in this series.

I was fortunate to read this in ebook prior to the audio version and was already in love with this story. The down fall for the audio for me was the tone selected for Ame. All in all great story, great inflection by the narrator and can't wait for more!

Could not put the headphones away! LOVED

I am completely taken with Brandy’s books and the dynamic characters and intensely complex worlds and dynamics she has created. I am lucky enough to be able to listen to this series since it enhances everyday chores and life taking me to new places and intense loves. Brandy’s books on audio never let me down and make putting the headphones away and paying attention to life an impossible task. Shadows Of The Past had this novice paranormal lover learning about new types of beings and the passionate ways they live and love.

Amethyst and Hayden’s story is one of hurt, pain, passion, love and power. The Fae are a new being for me and I have fallen deeply for them . Amethyst is a nymph who refuses to use her powers for selfish wants. Stuck in a bad situation she runs to Edenton for a new start. When a bad situation becomes worse, the town sheriff, Hayden, is there to lend a helping hand. When the Shadow Fae come to town causing havoc and leaving corpses in it’s wake everything becomes complicated. Even with trouble brewing Hayden and Amethyst cannot deny their pull towards each other and giving in is a given.

To make complicated matters even more complicated, Amethyst has always crushed on Preston but he has always denied his attraction to her citing her young age as a reason for pushing her away. Now, as years have passed Amethyst has matured and he starts to see his desire for her as something he cannot deny. Timing could not be worse and puts strains on their friendship. I desperately love Preston and hope that in future books we get to see him find peace and happiness.

Hayden and Amethyst have a intense dynamic and are so sexy together I cannot even begin to explain it all. Hayden’s desire for her has him doing things that he never thought he would do and even though he feels guilty he cannot force himself to stop. I cannot say how sexy (and trust me in no way creepy) he is. As a nymph, Amethyst, has always been in touch with her sexuality but the connection she has with Hayden takes that to a whole new level.

Brandy writes strong heroines to put up against alpha males like no one else. Her women do not need saving, they need a partner to help them save themselves. I love this concept. This does not stop her men from having all the sexy protective strong alpha qualities we have all come to love.

The others of Edenton is a sexy and action packed series full of worlds I never knew could exist. Every book I read in this series I love more than the last and that is saying a lot. Highly recommended you don’t want to miss these fast paced and sexy books.

**can be read as a standalone but I do recommend at least reading the novelette, Shadows Fall featuring Amethyst and the circumstances bringing her to Edenton. Also, on the whole I personally recommend reading the entire series!
