Whatever you do, do not listen. Ignore that pull, the need to escape from drudgeries of life and find peace and solitude within nature. It is not the cool breeze and the scent of pine that whispers your name. No, these things within the forest will rip out your heart and devour your soul. You will tremble as they revel in your madness, taking everything from you and leaving you with nothing. Delve inside this anthology of what truly lurks within the shadows of the trees. We dare you to take this journey with us and find out what horrors await you.

Horror you can sink your teeth into...
What made the experience of listening to Shadows and Teeth the most enjoyable?
These stories are really scary, and many types of horror are represented: slashers, serial killers, and supernatural paintings just to name a few. Each story brings a new crop of unexpected (and often gruesome) twists. The narrator's performance really puts you in the action. His storytelling is nuanced, subtle where it needs to be to build tension, and outright dramatic during the heated spots in the book.
What did you like best about this story?
This book is a collection of stories by 10 authors from all over the world. Their creativity and ingenuity really shine in each terrifying tale.
Which scene was your favorite?
Hard to say, all the stories are great. The book starts off on a strong foot with the lead story, "Water Ice And Vice," which is a supernatural horror tale. From there the book proceeds to many different types of scares, from the true-to-life serial killer to demons who turn a victim's home into a diabolical death trap. "The Final Spell" is a chilling tale told - interestingly enough - in second person, and done very well. And the novella that closes the book, "Crying," is a great take on the haunted painting motif.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Terror ten ways - a horror buffet. Bon appetit.
Any additional comments?
This is a book you can sink your teeth into, but just be careful it doesn't sink its teeth into you first.

Horror with humor ..
The author writes that everything that scares you has shadows and teeth . I've never thought about that, but yes it's usually true. I enjoyed this collection immensely , I was skeptical about 10 short stories read by one narrator. Wyatt S. Gray was not a narrator I am familiar with, but a fan now.
Each story is completely unique and great. Every one has it's own theme. And all terrific . From the description of the authors , each one has published mostly for magazines or other short articles. That I was also a little pessimist about. But put these authors together and it adds up to a perfect compilation.
I am very glad I selected this book. I enjoyed all of the stories except one. And only because it was a genre I'm not fond of. In a word read this collection if you enjoy real people in horrific circumstances , but are able to find a way to use your wit to turn the situation around .

Ten flavors of horror brilliantly narrated
What made the experience of listening to Shadows and Teeth the most enjoyable?
The ten stories in this book are genuinely scary. They'll keep you up at night! And since ten authors collaborated in this book, you get as many distinct interpretations of horror. Some stories take a "real life" approach with psychotic killers, while others go for supernatural horror involving demons, magic, and time travel.
What other book might you compare Shadows and Teeth to and why?
I would compare this to the horror story compilations by Stephen King and Harlan Ellison.
Which character – as performed by Wyatt S. Gray – was your favorite?
I liked them all. It speaks to the narrator's talents that there were many characters and he personified each of them, giving them a distinct feel. The book's "bad guys" are especially enjoyable.
If you could take any character from Shadows and Teeth out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Nobody, because most of them are either dangerous human beings or malevolent entities. Still, it's fun to watch them in action.
Any additional comments?
This is a unique book and it's narrated beautifully. Definitely check it out.

A good mix of things that scare you
Would you consider the audio edition of Shadows and Teeth to be better than the print version?
I've got the hardback book, and I have to say I prefer that. No offense to the narrator, who did a great job.
What other book might you compare Shadows and Teeth to and why?
I don't normally read horror.
What about Wyatt S. Gray’s performance did you like?
He has a great voice.

Not to scary
Some stories are interesting, and some are not scary and make no sense what's so ever. This is not above an average horror movie. The people that think this is scary probably think someone who dresses up as a ghost with a sheet over their face is scary. Cliched, twists have no good pay offs. Just not scary.

This unique collection of stories features a range of international talent: award-winning authors, masters of horror, rising stars, and fresh new voices in the genre. Take care as you reach into these dark places, for the things here bite, and you may withdraw a hand short of a few fingers.
Antonio Simon Jr’s opener Water, Ice and Vice is a Twilight Zone-esque cautionary tale about being careful what you wish for, as two college students discover a fridge that offers the possibility of fulfilling any vice.
Routine By Mia Bravo is a stand out story as a man’s OCD spirals out of control with bloody consequences. Despite the obvious reasoning for his escalating condition, I enjoyed his descent into madness.
The Pied Piper’s Appetite by Rich Phelan follows the tale of a competitive eater whose gluttonous appetites go further than just food. A likeable tale that borders on noir and surprises throughout as things get more and more messed up and a sinister agenda comes to light.
