Publisher's summary

Half-human, half-vampire Dorina Basarab is back - and facing her biggest challenge yet in the next urban fantasy in The New York Times best-selling series.

Dorina Basarab is a dhampir - half-human, half-vampire. As one of the Vampire Senate's newest members, Dory already has a lot on her plate. But then a relative of one of Dory's fey friends goes missing. They fear he's been sold to a slaver who arranges fights - sometimes to the death - between different types of fey.

As Dory investigates, she and her friends learn the slavers are into something much bigger than a fight club. With the Vampire Senate gearing up for war with Faerie, it'll take everything she has to defeat the slavers - and deal with the entirely too attractive master vampire Louis-Cesare....

Worth the wait

I loved this book as much as previous ones but was very disappointed that there were 3 chapters cut off. I will be relistening after it’s fixed and the missing parts didn’t effect my enjoyment but did frustrate me

the narrator is the worst she hacks the names of characters I can't listen to one of my favorite authors because of the narrator I wish the company who does the narrative would find a better narrator bc she sucks and I can't listen to her she butchers the story know matter what Karen chance writs she butchers it

For once she advanced the story

Love this book. She meandered some. She over did her battles. But her characters shine

Hope this isn't the last

I hope this isn't the last in the series. It kind of feels that way. Good book with a lot going on. Loved the ending.

I love Dory and Dorina.

like always pure action when she's not laid up in recovery which happens a lot.

Great book but missing ends of a few chapters

I wish/hope they will fix the missing parts of the chapters- I don’t have a hard copy and I don’t know what happened exactly. The book was still great! Love Karen Chance books

Excellent!

Unexpected twists, links and ending. Dorina and Dorrie finally get a better understanding of their father's actions and life. I highly recommend this book and series.

Always good!

I have been following this life, love and adventures of Dory/Dorina from the beginning. Each book can be read standalone or sequentially, but I find I go back and read them again and again, no matter in or out of sequence. Karen Chance’s books are always full of action, with incredible character development. A great author to follow! And her narrator, Joyce Bean, is excellent!
