The strongest book in The Birthgrave trilogy

Many years ago, I had to order this book, then called _Vazkor Son of Vazkor_ from the publisher as it was no longer being carried in my local bookstores. I had no high hopes for it, because the third book, then called _The Quest for the White Witch_ was kind of meh. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was at the time, and, unlike _The Birsthgrave_, it has aged very well.

In this book, we follow Tuvek, the son the heroine of _The Birthgrave_ abandoned among the cruel warriors of the krarl and he grows up among the warriors, treated, in many ways, as an outsider and gradually comes into his power, and grows beyond the ways of the krarl and the ways of the decayed civilization of the nearby cities.

This is seriously the best book of the series.
