Ivy must go to Faerie, but the gateway to the Wisp Court is through Tech Duinn, the house of Donn - Celtic god of the dead. Just her luck. Unable to share her secret with Jinx, and with Jenna called away on Hunters' Guild business, Ivy must rely on Ceff and Torn to lead her to Death's door, literally, and back again. Okay, so I'm in trouble. Big trouble. I'm broke. Worse, my boyfriend of five years just dumped me. What do I do? I move in with my three eccentric aunts in their family home, Davenport House. Sounds exciting, only this massive farmhouse likes to eat men. If I were a regular human, I would have run out screaming like a banshee. As a witch - I do absolutely nothing. I'm back in Hollow Cove, the flamboyant paranormal community, where nymphs, werewolves, trolls, shifters, witches, and other paranormals live comfortable lives away from prying human eyes.

For a decade, I’ve hated the supernaturals who owned my world. I hunted them. I killed them. And now, in the most grand twist of fate - I am bonded to one of them. Oh, the irony. "Happily Ever After" wasn't supposed to come with a do-over option. But when my husband of 20 years packs up and heads for greener pastures, and my son heads away to college, that's exactly what my midlife becomes. A do-over. This time, though, I plan to do things differently. Age is just a number, after all, and at 40 I'm ready to carve my own path. Eager for a fresh start, I make a somewhat unorthodox decision and move to a tiny town in the Sierra foothills.

Publisher's Summary
Some things are best left unseen...
Welcome to Harborsmouth, where monsters walk the streets unseen by humans...except those with second sight, like Ivy Granger.
Ivy Granger's second sight is finally giving her life purpose. Ivy and her best friend Jinx may not be raking in the dough, but their psychic detective agency pays the bills - most of the time. Their only worry is the boredom of a slow day and the occasional crazy client - until a demon walks through their door. Demons are never a good sign...
A demon attorney representing the water fae? Stranger things have happened. And things are about to get very, very strange as a bloodthirsty nightmare hunts the city of Harborsmouth.
There's blood in the water...kelpies have a reputation for eating humans. Unfortunately, kelpies are the clients. When an Unseelie faerie this evil stalks the waterways of your city, you have to make hard choices.
The lesser of two evils...
Shadow Sight is the first novel in the Ivy Granger urban fantasy series by E.J. Stevens.

A solid start.
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. This is such an enjoyable read and a great introduction to the Ivy Granger series.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
The plot was sufficiently fast paced to keep me hooked and it really picked up the pace towards the end.
What about Traci Odom’s performance did you like?
Yes. She is such an awesome Ivy and knows how to grab the readers.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Ivy is so snarky that it's impossible not to snicker during the book, so yes, I had a good few laugh out loud moments.
Any additional comments?
Shadow sight introduces us to the snarky and kick ass heroine Ivy Granger. When she touches an object she can "read" that object. She doesn't know why or how she has the gift but she learns to deal with it. She opens her own Detective Agency and has the name to investigate the weird.
Ivy is such an awesome character and I loved her wit and sass. I can't wait to read more in this awesome world and look forward to the next book.

Monsters Everywhere!
This was fun listen. Ivy is a psychic detective with second sight. She see's the monsters for who they are and can't touch anything without seeing its past. She lives in Harboursmouth where plenty of creatures mingle in the streets.
When a demon walks into her and best friend Jinx detective agency her life gets even crazier. He's been hired by a type of Fae when their king disappears. They want her to find an item of his. In her search she gets distracted and doesn't spend a lot of time looking for it instead she spends more time warning other supernaturals and gaining their assistance.
It was another type of Fae who kidnapped the other's king and they are ruthless and ready to attack Harboursmouth. This is a fun book.
It started a little slow but picked up after the first few chapters. Where I kept getting lost was her in depth descriptions of all the various types of Fae and other monsters. I really just needed to know about the ones directly involved with the story not every one she saw and it's history etc. I adore the author's imagination but trying to keep track of them all was a brain blast that detracted from the actual story. Sometimes less is better.
I enjoyed listening to the narrator and think she was a good fit for the story.
I recieved this book free through Audiobook Boom.

Detail Heavy Fairy Story
Would you listen to Shadow Sight again? Why?
Yes, because the author fills this book with a ton of fairy lore. It is impossible to catch it all the first time through.
If you’ve listened to books by E. J. Stevens before, how does this one compare?
I haven't heard this narrator before, but I will definitely listen to her material again. She gave an excellent performance. She brought each character to life and gave each of them unique voices.
Which scene was your favorite?
When Ivy meets a unicorn in the hilltop church. That is a creative and well-written scene. The scenes between the Brownie Fairy Hobs and Ivy are also entertaining.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
This book would not lend itself to film. It is very detailed. It is a little like a fairy encyclopedia. The action of the book does not start until 2 hours into the story. That is when Ivy takes her first demon client. This is not an action oriented story and Ivy sees visions. She does not fight or really do much. The story is interesting, but it moves at a slow pace. There is a lot of time spent setting the scene.
Any additional comments?
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review from the narrator, producer, or author. Interesting book that is worth reading.

It's not safe to go out at night...
What did you like best about this story?
I loved all the creatures, in fact there were only a few humans. The descriptions were interesting and created a vivid picture of the being.
Which character – as performed by Traci Odom – was your favorite?
All of them! Traci is one of my all time favorite narrators and she proves why with this book. Excellent character voices and a lovely consistent sound, what's not to like?
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I would have but once again having to work got in the way, if only I didn't need money to live!
Any additional comments?
I loved this book! Ivy is so likeable and many f the non-human beings break out of their stereotypical roles, which makes things much more interesting.
Fingers-crossed, book 2 is already available.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Shadow Sight?
All the unnaturals coming together for a common cause.
Any additional comments?

Fun to listen too!
What did you love best about Shadow Sight?
I loved all the fun characters.
What does Traci Odom bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
This was my first time listening to this narrator and I thought she did a fantastic job.
Any additional comments?
Why did I wait so long to try this series! It sucked me in and I just couldn't quit listening. If I could have I would have listened in one setting.
Ivy has this ability to have visions when she touches things, because of this she avoids physical contact as much as possible. It also helps her become a detective of sorts to help humans as well as fae. Kelpies pray on humans but this time they are the ones being preyed upon as they king as been kidnapped. She find out there is something much more dangers than kelpies in the waters of Harborsmouth.
I like Ivy she is a great character though a bit flawed. She has some fun and interesting friends. My favorite is the young troll.

Great Audio Experience
This audiobook is a thrill a minute, you don't what's going to happen next.
Ivy is employed to find a brindle that has been stolen, but obviously thing's aren't as simple as they seem 😏
There are so many twists and turns, and thing's that Ivy has to overcome to obtain the bridle back.
I'd definitely recommend this audiobook, I'm definitely looking forward to listening to the next instalment to see what happens next 😍😍😍💞💞💞💞

Fighting for their lives!
When Ivy is hired by a blood sucking lawyer who happens to be a demon working for the Kelpies she has no idea that her life is about to change forever. The Kelpie King is missing as is his bridle and Ivy needs to find both to stop a war.
Ivy and her friends face a deadly enemy out to kill everyone. The only chance of survival is if the supernatural community unites to fight together. The only thing guaranteed is that Harborsmouth will never be the same again and neither will Ivy.
I thoroughly recommend listening to this urban fantasy with great narration, an awesome heroine and the best prologue ever. I can't wait to find out what E. J. throws at Ivy next...
I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Very Enjoyable
A girl who sees things that are......different in a town where many are strange. What more could you want? At times the story rambles a little and personally I find the narration a bit frenetic but overall a very enjoyable experience

Shadow Sight: Ivy Granger, Psychic Detective
Shadow sight is the first in the Ivy Granger Psychic Detective series,a serie that is one on my all time faves!!If you are looking for a book with non stop action that is also an urban fantasy then you should really give this book a try.
There was so much I liked about this book. Ivy is a very strong female lead, one that won't give up no matter what. Ivy also refuses to let anything negative run her life. She wants the good to triumph over the bad, which makes her a beautiful soul. Her friend and business partner at their detective agency helps with this big time ! ivy has to hunt for a bridle belonging to an Unseelie kelpie before war breaks out big time in the waters of Harborsmouth..Join our amazing cast om this journey and then jump on to the next book because this serie is gold.Coming from someone who listens to hundreds of books i a six month period I hope that holds some extra incentive. If you like urban fantasy and dealings with the fae this series is for you !
