Publisher's summary

Lola Pink is all shades of concerned about the state of her wedding plans when her world is shaken as someone close to Dane Clark - her billionaire fiance - goes missing. When the news of a kidnapping rocks the Clark Castle, Lola finds herself entwined in a mystery that could require a trip down memory lane.

However, a missing-persons report is not the only thing on Lola's plate. There's a brownie rivalry between two of the town's oldest residents, a wedding cake that won't order itself, and a mother-in-law determined to ruin Lola's special day. But when the kidnapper's threats take a turn for the worse, suddenly, all bets are off. If Lola can't find a way to unveil the kidnapper's true identity, there won't be a wedding to ruin....

This is such a fun series to listen to and so much potential for more stories with all the characters. I so hope there are more books in the works.

Very entertaining cozy mystery and performance

This is the third book in this series. I just love the characters and the way the whole story unfolds. There is a lot of mystery and Lola is really an awesome character. She is so strong and loyal and loving and smart. The book is a fun book. I do hope there is another one in this series. The performance was very good.

Enjoyable cozy mystery

I truly enjoyed this series, it made me smile and it made me laugh at times. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and I adored the love story that went along with the mysteries. I’m sorry the series ended, I would have loved to have “attended” the wedding and i really want to know about warehouse 11! Gina Lamanna, I’m on board if you want to continue the series! Hint hint

Good

Very good. Sad there were not any more books to the series! Lola and the gang are back and in full wedding planning mode, if only there wasn’t a kidnapping to solve, a brownie rivalry to get through, a potential monster in law in the making and danger all around. Will Lola and Dane make it to the alter?

Book 3 was good

Easy listening. I look forward to the next one... hopefully there's another one coming! The first book started a little slow for me, but by the end I was hooked. I have since enjoyed book2 and 3.

Wonderful story but with one glitch

This is the third book in the Lola Pink series and it’s great fun. Engaging story and likable main characters with excellent narration.
There is one glitch, however, I’m surprised the writer and or editor didn’t catch this.
It’s a big deal in book two when Dane Clark gives Lola an electric bicycle and it!s clear that she will ditch her old bicycle ride and ride the new electric one from there on out. BUT there’s no mention of the electric bicycle in book three and the author has Lola peddling away on her old bicycle The bike has an important role in that it helps to define part of Lola’s personality. If you can ignore this mistake, the rest of the book is fine I hope there are more books to come in the series I’m hooked!

Block head broad!

Just the pros and the cons you decide

Overall, you need to listen to this book to complete the series. In my opinion, it was OK.

I enjoy all of the characters and love the narration

The narrator has a very calming, soothing voice, and she does a fantastic job with all of the different characters. Simply sensational kudos.

This particular book was not as enjoyable to me as the other ones for two reasons...

First reason is the plot... I’m sorry, but to invent a character that was never mentioned before and happens to be a brother of a side character seems to be a bit of a reach.
I wish the author would have written something directly about Lola or Dane... perhaps something intriguing and mysterious regarding their wedding or honeymoon!

The way the author wrote our female lead, Lola was very upsetting because she made her out to be a weak female …Most of this book Lola came across very ignorant. Uhh! Turn off! Boo - on the girl power! Lola kept making horrible decisions over and over. (perhaps the author was trying to tell us that her character was autistic or had mental challenges...?) Lola could not make rational decisions.

Not to give the story away, but for example —Dane asked her on several occasions not to "go at it alone" and she purposely disobeyed his wishes. Lola doesnt exactly have any Rambo skills! Lola acts like a simpleton in this book blabbering on and on ….for example in front of the police, where she makes a fool out of herself, and can’t keep her mouth shut not even when it’s putting everyone in danger! UHH! (cringeworthy!)

If I was Dane, I would’ve dumped her immediately!

Obviously Lola does not fit in his world - nor is she trying to blend in.

I did not agree with the way Dane's horrid mother treated Lola - that was ridiculous!

In the end, I honestly think Lola would have been better suited to one of the handyman in town because ...she is not castle material. Her ambitions were hanging around downtown at her aunts shop, selling sunglasses and riding her bike. Her character did not expand or change for the better. ( like I had hoped!)

I was a really rooting for Lola and I did like her character in the other two books but the way the author wrote her in this particular book was really downhill for me.
It seems like she went out of her way to do stupid things that made me dislike her character.

I feel you would have to listen to this book to understand all three books together as a set.

Perhaps he will love it. Namaste and enjoy. 🌹
