Surprise Baby with a slightly different twist

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes and no. I would recommend it based on performance, but the storyline content seemed to need a fuller plot. Also there was a technical error and repeated chapter 5 twice.

Would you be willing to try another book from M. Clarke? Why or why not?

Sure. I didn't hate it, I just felt it was okay. I'm always willing to give things a second try.

Have you listened to any of Desiree Dunne’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Not that I recall, but her performance was good. She had enthusiasm and emphasis in her acting. The only thing I felt could have been different was that during some of the hotter scenes she would sound too breathy, or if it was a long stretch of speech by the end in a few parts she sounded a little winded.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This was an easy book to listen to, but I did put it down a few times and come back to it. Mostly because the character annoyed me.

Any additional comments?

This book was okay, story wise. Parts of it just wasn't my cup of tea. The blurb makes it seem as there is a bit of a love triangle, but as I was listening to it, I was unable to find ANYTHING appealing about his past relationship that would make it feel like the Hero had to choose between women. The baby mama was annoying and just felt like a trashy gold digger, and how the H interacted with her made him less appealing too. Isla the heroine was great, by far best character in the book, and was enjoyable all around. I felt that some of the dialogue could have been written a little more fluent, because it didn't always sound natural, in the way a persons speech would be on average, other than that it was okay. I received this audiobook for free from the narrator, author, or publisher, for my unbiased review.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sexiest Dad Alive?

I loved the scene where Josh and Isla's friend worked with Josh to bring them back together in the fake photo shoot. It was a cute way to get her to talk to him again and it had it's funny moments too even with the tension.

Have you listened to any of Desiree Dunne’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, this was my first book. I enjoyed her reading, it was an easy listen without any quirks that some narrators have.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No extreme reactions to this book. It was an easy listen that I was able to listen to in one day. It was a nice listen that while I enjoyed I wouldn't say it was my favorite romantic book and I wouldn't be jumping to buy any of this other author's books

Josh and Isle were worth reading about

In Sexiest Dad Alive, the third book in the Knight Fashion series can be read as a stand alone as well as part of the series. It is about a great friendship that develops over time to become much more. There were times I laughed out loud as well as felt the range of emotions the memorable characters experienced at the time. I am new to M. Clarke as an author, but after this book, I am interested in reading more from this series.

In this book, you meet Josh Bennett. He has really made a name for himself in the modeling industry. He works with his best friends and is even nominated for the Sexiest Man title. He lives with his best friend Isla, who also happens to model for Knight Fashion. All aspects of his life are finally going in the direction he wants, until he finds his past has been holding a secret. Not just any secret, but an 11 month old, who completely captures his heart from the very start. As he adjusts to his new life as a dad, he finds many roadblocks, but through it all he never looses sight of what he wants most.

PS - Desiree Dunne only enhances the work of M. Clarke in the audio version of this story. I am new to her as a narrator as well, but I found myself needing to know what would happen next as I listened to this story.

Loved it

It was nice reading a story between josh and Isla. I’m glad they finally crossed that line but like always there are people who try to bring trouble and you have to sacrifice. Well in their case you have to read to find out what happens. I recommend the read. It funny and romantic.

An excellent piece of work - loved every moment of it!
