Good Content, Tough Listen

I had a really hard time listening to this book. The narrator to me was just too dry and monotonous. I’m not sure I retained more than a couple of key points from this book b/c I just couldn’t stay focused. I feel like I could’ve listened to the last 2 chapters and gotten out of this book what I needed to get out of it.

A must read for each Christian

loved and will listen to it again. It answers most of my questions concerning the requirements to speaking in tongues and performing miracles.

The Voice

I enjoyed the book itself, but the voice was hard to listen to. I thought from the sample it wouldn’t be too bad, but 7 plus hrs was rough.

It was eye opening for me.

I really liked this book. So many points I'm listening again and again taking notes.

How hungry are you?

This book is a staple to the follower of Jesus who desires to know Him better, be fortified in the fruit of the Spirit, and walk in obedience in the fullness of their calling in Christ Jesus.

The orator is average or slightly above average but if you are spiritually hungry, that will make little to no difference. I found it a bit cheesy when they read some of the scripture with an echo like effect. However, I repeat that if you are really hungry you will be thoroughly enriched by the meat of it.

Good content but difficult to listen to

The content was okay but the voice of the reader was difficult to listen to. Also the audio quality varies. There were these echo like moments throughout where sound would get loud and “weird”. I wasn’t sure if that was an attempt at a God voice dramatization or sound equipment malfunction.

Set your sights on doing God’s will and read this book.

I believe in praying in tongues, but this book really pushed me over the edge how many of us as many is 95% have been ignoring our gift and not using it on a daily basis. Dr. Hammond goes through the history of praying in tongues starting at Pentecost and brings it all through till the present day. You will learn about the revivals and all the history. Plus, you will be exhorted to use your gift. It is a gift for anyone who is a born-again believer. He will show you tons of scriptures that shows it is God‘s will for you, just as he commanded the disciples to wait in the upper room till he sent them the Holy Spirit. That was Pentecost and you can have that same spirit outpouring in you if you believe. It’s a second step after you’re saved. Often, man’s word means more to us than God‘s word. We should not listen to naysayers when God is offering you a supernatural gift that will empower you to follow God more closely. Millions of people have this gift, And it is for everyone who believes. I can’t imagine somebody would not want a gift from Jesus Christ. Humility is what we need when approaching God. You ask for it just as you ask for salvation. You do it in faith. It’s the second step. You need it and I need it. Read this and other books about the Holy Spirit and your whole Christianity will be set on fire and you will be excited.

This is a very informative and educational when you want to know the Father Son and the Holy Spirit more and more each day.
