Publisher's summary

With her marriage in ruins and with nowhere else to go, Megan escapes to her family's summer house on Cape Cod to lick her wounds, but even in that haven from reality, she finds the past catching up with her. Enter Andi, an old friend she's all but forgotten.

Sixteen years ago Andi was the independent local girl with short, blond hair and a reputation for kissing other girls. Megan's family disapproved of Andi, both for her attitude and her unapologetic sexuality, but the girls became quick friends. When Megan's cousin locked them in a closet for a game of seven minutes in heaven, it was meant to be a cruel joke to drive them apart. Instead it led to Megan's first kiss...with Andi.

Now adults, neither woman has forgotten their brief but tantalizing game. Slowly they edge their way toward each other once more, but is being together in the adult world only a game...or heaven?

A nice time

A sweet little tale, my only complaint being that the end came too soon. I wasn't ready to let go of the characters. Well written, well read, HEA, what more can you ask for?

Really Good Lesbian Romance

Only slightly longer than the average novella this is a lesbian love story that avoids much of the driftwood that floats into most of this genre's works. There is of course the requisite breakup; this time though not for all the usual specious reasons occurring only in romantic literature. Set on Cape Cod during the offseason, where a chance occurrence at age thirteen culminating close to two decades later this is a quick and easy lesson for fans of romance novels.

Cute Story!

What made the experience of listening to Seven Minutes in Heaven the most enjoyable?

I think it was overall well-done, from the writing to the performance. I really appreciate the writing, because many stories that have erotic scenes aren't well-written. This story was written beautifully.

What about Stephanie Murphy’s performance did you like?

I really like Stephanie's performance. She has good pacing and speech as well as pronunciation. Her tone throughout was really well-done and she's pleasant to listen to.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely! I was sad whenever I had to stop listening for some reason. It's a short story so I was able to listen to the entire story in 2-3 sittings, but would have finished in one if I could have. I really wanted to know what happens next to the characters.

Any additional comments?

I would definitely recommend this story to anyone. It's short and sweet, and heartwarming.

Dull and overly predictable

The story was too predictable and the plot boring. Girl divorces husband, moves back home, rekindles romance with high school girl crush, resistance from said high school girl for fear of broken heart and then happily ever after. Perhaps if the story was longer and had more time to develop it would be better but I found myself bored and waiting for it to end so I could look for another read.

Also, the reader's voice is not distinguished enough between characters. Many times I felt as though personalities were crossing over or exaggerated too much to make a clear distinction. Made the story less believable over all.
