Publisher's Summary

Serotonin is a happiness hormone. But how does it work?

In this wide-ranging guide, the serotonin hormone is explained in a comprehensive way. Serotonin has often been confused with other happiness hormones, and it is an important part of our brain we must understand if we are to understand the drive behind our emotions, habits, and behavior.

In this book, we won’t beat around the bush and touch on crucial subjects related to serotonin and the entire nervous system. The brain structure is outlined in great detail, and interesting questions are addressed, such as:

  • How does calcium intake regulate serotonin?
  • How does serotonin kill pain?
  • Which kinds of foods increase our serotonin levels, and are supplements advisable?
  • What is the connection between serotonin and depression?
  • What is serotonin syndrome and why is it dangerous?
  • How is your mood affected by serotonin levels?
  • How do you regulate a healthy balance of serotonin in your brain?
  • In what ways can serotonin help when you are faced with fibromyalgia?

As you can see from these topics, there is a lot to learn about serotonin. It can help you be happier, healthier, stronger, and more balanced. If you understand what effects this hormone has on your mood and your body, you will be able to achieve more and feel better.

I liked it

No complaints by this listener. The voice was great, the information was accurate, and it was all working together. A little sloppy on the cover, but that's not a big deal if you're looking for an audiobook.

Another great book

Quinn Spencer has created a series of fantastic books about the human brain. This one was informative as well, as serotonin is a crucial substance in our minds.

Excellent info

This is a guide to serotonin. I can't begin to describe how many times I've heard people talk about the misery they experience and it just consists of a lack of serotonin. And there are solutions for that, as discussed in this book.

Interesting content

This book was put together by a guy who has a lot of brainy books. I pretty much like most of them, and this one was no exception.

How can anyone....

....not like this book? Unless the price is wrong for you, sure, but if you're looking for a short book about this particular topic, one hour should be more than enough.

Serotonin matters

This neurotransmitter is so important that it determines our happiness to a certain degree. Many people don't realize that. I liked the narrator on this book.
