More than expected.

This book went very in depth on the subject of self publishing. I haven't personally tried any of it yet, but everything the author talks about makes a lot of sense. This will be a book I go back to in the future.

I learned SOOOO much from this book

This book covers a bunch of different topics in what works and what doesn't and it all makes so much sense. Sure he's trying to promote his own business but doesn't do it obnoxiously nor too pushy, More of another choice to make things easier. Also, the reader's voice is enthusiastic and engaging. One thing though, his email address and website seems to be outdated. I think Amazon came down on him for using the kindle name. It is now Kbookpromotions. I just signed up on the website and will report back to how well his promotion works so stay tuned!

Effective self-publishing marketing

If self-publishing is your choice, this is a good listen. Sure there are plenty of gurus out there and no disrespect to them, nor do I want to idolize Richard (he's clearly trying to sell his services), but I had fun listening to this book, gained insights along the way, and only in two hours. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Like a personal marketing seminar

This book by Richard McCartney is about marketing and achieving success as an indie author by using Amazon. He quickly states that Amazon is where an author wants to concentrate the most effort to achieving sales because it is the biggest market.

McCartney dispenses practical advice with back-up statistics on why social media doesn’t have the desired sales effect, and he also makes a point that to sell a book, a marketing budget is essential. He then describes both concisely and specifically what to do to achieve the goals of successfully marketing self-published works.

This is a very useful and affordable tool. There are a few things to consider with this book. If you want advice on markets outside of Amazon, this isn’t the book for that. This book serves as an advertisement for McCartney’s company that handles Kindle marketing. It is peppered with calls to contact them if you have questions.

If that doesn’t bother you and you’re ready to make the plunge on Amazon, this could be the book for you!

Best if you have the book also

Thanks for sharing this great information. It really is awesome. The narrator refers to links that are best to follow if you have the book too, otherwise all else is flawless. I will be looking into using kbookpromotions for sure. Please check out my latest book if you can.

Just what I was looking for

I have been wanting to write a book for a good while now but found the information online daunting and confusing. This book is exactly what I was looking for: easy to follow, well researched, with no fluff. Thank you.

Very informative

Not only has Richards book helped me as an author, he's personally helped me in my publishing business and his methods have dramatically increased my sales. His books are well worth your time and the few pence he's asking!

pretty good

I liked the book. it gave sonegood ideas. Author promoted his own services, not a big deal but he did give other companies as well. Made me think about a book launch differently than I previously did. Overall worth it. It was a short book and I kind of expected more, but it was still worth the money.

This is solid

I didn’t have high expectations. The book is short and cheap. I wanted to learn something about those indie published books and their world that I run into on Goodreads.

My question was ‘What is the deal?’ I have assumed all of this time that Amazon is taking advantage of prople’s hopes and dreams.

The author answers the question and provides information about the landscape of the Amazon publishing world.

BTW the author is promoting his paid service for helping authors to succeed on Amazon . So, well done.

...what am I doing? I’m looking for the manuscripts of the three novels that I finished and polished and that I only got two or three nibbles on over fifteen years ago...I’m only joking...but I’m not.

The author presents a plausible picture. Again, well done.
