Publisher's Summary

When Daniel White realized the common points between all functional approaches, he created the Practical 3-Step Method.

If you have already listened to our book Start Self-Help, you are ready to identify which of the three steps we are focusing on this time.

If you are looking for a boost to quickly improve your personal growth, this guide is for you. You now have the possibility to learn and apply the most advanced of Daniel’s methods, usually reserved for his direct students. You will have access to all unrevealed methods discovered during 20 years of research and actively applied by the man who has coached thousands of people during the past five years.

Being mentored is the quickest and safest way. If you are looking for a theoretical and inapplicable manual, then you are not in the right place.

Daniel White has selected a set of rules and secrets from the self-help methods. The rules and secrets will be explained in three advanced lessons:

  • When I was young but pathetic
  • When I took the decision
  • When I will (never) die

There are just three lessons, no more. But each of them is so full of knowledge and power to definitely change your way of thinking and your emotional system.

Always remember personal growth is a choice!

Have you ever felt that you lacked a real benchmark during your personal growth process? Daniel White was having the same problem until he started to look around after his latest crisis.

He tested a lot of strategies and techniques to fight his depression and his particular emotional system that was subconsciously set up by his family during his youth.

Of course, the emotional system and personality aren’t genetic and unchangeable, even if they are rooted in ourselves. It took Daniel White time to realize this.

Personal growth is a choice! But effective coaching to get real results is not.

This book stresses the importance of having a mentor. If someone told to him exactly what to do, Daniel White would haven’t spent 20 years of his life studying and applying every existing self-help technique.

Daniel White realized that if he really wanted to improve himself, he would have to develop a functional approach by combining all his studies and his experience. When he finally found some working techniques, he started to break down the reasons that allowed those techniques to work. By that time, he started looking for a mentor for each functional point of each technique and method.

Great recommendations

This book, although at times a little cheesy, contained a lot of great tips. Especially for a list-lover like myself! I definitely feel like I'll accomplish more. Most of my "goals" in the past have been more like wishes. I think I can structure goals to make those wishes happen now.

Life changing Read!

I just finished reading this book about an hour ago. It did not disappoint! It spoke to the core of what I have experienced in the past: limiting beliefs, getting stuck, and bad habits. What to do along the way when you experience setbacks and pitfalls in your journey. In the book there are many stories of real average people who found extraordinary success by setting goals and achieving them. I highly recommend this book! I'm so looking forward to this year!

Great Goal Planning Tools

Very organized methodology for goal setting and achieving. Adds an ER to the traditional SMART acronym. Author changes the first R to Risky from Reasonable, i.e. still very possible but out of your comfort zone. He takes pains to differentiate Risky from Delusional. The additional two letters are Exciting and Relevant.

Strategies to Knock out your Goals

I am really loving this book as I take my time working through it! Its an 'easy read,' but I am putting it into action as I go. [setting aside a couple of days of seclusion to do this would be even better!]. It makes me happy to finally find someone that 'gets me' and doesn't simply say 'do less' or 'cut something out' when I'm frustrated. No. I don't want to do LESS! I want to do MORE. And do it BETTER. I'm looking forward to a fantastic year using this book and my trusty planner.

Great timing to read such a positive and construct

I cannot believe the timing of finding this book. It was January. I had joined a group that was all about positive change. We were all to draw up our goals for the year and I was procrastinating and then I just started reading this book and I’ve formalised my goals using the templates and feel so excited. I’ve even downloaded an app to track my goals.

Incredible! Get it today so you can start right

This is the best book on goal setting I have ever read. Some would think that this book is just an ode to positive thinking and will power. What I appreciate about it is that it is so insightful and incredibly practical. You get tools that you can implement immediately. Author is one of my favorites! Always delivers high quality!

Actionable steps for creating your best life

What White gives us in his latest book, Your Best Year Ever, are clear, actionable steps for creating your best life. It's not fluff. Not just theory. But how to practically apply his science-backed process to create your goals (and actually achieve them!). I definitely recommend this to any goal-getter who's ready to *finally* make it happen this year!

Easy To Understand System

Only in the past few years have I thought about goals. I’ve gotten pretty far in life without them but it’s always been a struggle. I’ve decided to be more intentional and look for a system. I’m more prone to go with the flow of life and this system didn’t feel like an affront to that. There are truly things I desire and having roadmap feels comforting. The best part of the book is where he explains the difference between an achievement goal and a habit goal. That distinction is going to make all the difference in world in having the best year ever.

Excellent, complete goals system made simple

As a self proclaimed productivity geek, I have experimented with many of the top systems and tools. Your Best Year Ever is the most complete and accessible system I have experienced. The book covers everything you need in order to not just set goals, but to assure that you actually achieve them!

Just started this & already impressed!

So I ordered this book not because said to but because I was at a point in my life where I wasn't happy with myself and I want to better myself. I know I have a lot of great qualities but I feel like they are being pushed back because of unfair rude people that were around me. So I want to find my best self regardless of who is around me.

Everyone can benefit from this book

I really liked the concept in this book that we can all rediscover the best qualities and characteristics of ourselves and become the person that we really want to be . This book does not use labels or discuss disorders. So many books discuss different types of diagnoses or disorders and you end up feeling like you are defined by something like an anxiety disorder or depression . This book makes you realize that things like anxiety and fear are just parts of your anti self and not your true self. It really made me feel empowered to be my best self and I am recommending it to my family and friends.

Who doesn't want to be their best?

I've been hearing about this book on a few talk shows. I've made great strides in !y personal growth over the past 5-6 years but who hasn't got room for more? So I'm challenging myself to dig deeper and become the best version of myself I can be. Should be an interesting ride.

Practical exercises that actually work!

I loved this book from start to finish. Mike has a way of creating a narrative from the beginning of the book that is very relatable and engaging. The exercises he creates in several of the chapters provides a tactical way of processing the information and education he is providing. Best Self: Be You, Only Better kick started my 2019 - and it's only going to get better.

Outstanding - Highly recommend

I just found this book to be outstanding read - and I am half way in. It is so well written, that I sent my twin sister a copy, my dad... and just ordered one for a friend. It makes you look at your life and asks the hard questions to have a better life. The tools are here. I have so many of these types of books and never made it past page 1. Not this one. Bingo! Above and beyond. I highly recommend it!

Great book, hugely informative

Wonderful book! I am thoroughly enjoying the journey back to my Best Self. I enjoy Mike on Dr Phil and his book just as much. Like anything else, you need to do the work to reap the benefit

Tell about material

To be fair, I have not listen to the whole book but it is a little off putting when the material isn’t read well. I understand that words being read does not sound the same as someone speaking from notes but the reader frequently slurred through words etc. I also did not receive the mentioned workbook material referenced in the book. I could not find an option to message the seller so putting it here. I am giving 3 stars because based on the price of the book I am sure I will get some value out of it but not exactly what I expected.

Good product

Not the best "self help" book I have ever read. It is average and has some editing issues. However, I did take away a couple of good ideas from it.

Self Help

The book arrived promptly and was well packaged. I've started to read it and it's informative, an easy read, understandable, and helpful. So far, it's not much different from other self help books in terms of content, but what I is different is that the author seems to be a very good self help life coach who is particularly good at substance abuse interventions.
