Arrogant

The author purports to know so much about ancient Sparta and their way of life but seems to have totally forgotten the Greek caution against hubris. A huge portion of the book is pure bragging about the book and how smart you are to have bought it. The so-called advice is all common sense efficiency tips. And I didn't know the ancient Spartans would work into their morning routine flipping on the coffeemakers BEFORE hopping in a cold shower. I also didn't know they made a point of limiting screen time before bed.

Not bad

I recommend this to those without a lot of time to read or listen. Definitely for someone who has no clue where to start. I'm going to follow the tips and see what happens!

Geared towards men only

To start off with, if you are a woman go somewhere else. This book is 100% geared towards men. There is no mention of woman besides the ability to attract them, maybe this is due to Spartans being a males dominated society. Still, I think the author could have made it unisex oriented.
The narration is also very comical. The narrator is pumped about the message, but at times I couldn't help but laugh while listening.
If you are a man looking for self discipline training, there are definitely some good tips that can help. But as a lady, there's not much we can use unless you want to pick and choose.

Not worth it.

Far too brief, more a list than a book. Certainly not meant for adults but some good suggestions are made for undisciplined children or teens who still live with their mom and dad. The whole Spartan theme is just silly and meant as a guise to give the book purpose and a sense of authority.
