Worth the time

Reemphasizes the obvious little things to improve your quality of life.

I’ll likely listen to again in the future to revisit some of these basic ideas and implement a few more into my life. Don’t try to make every little change today, just fine pieces that relate to your life and improve them one at a time.

Zen do we need to say more...

Would you listen to Zen Habits again? Why?

Yes, and I have.
We really need to take these Zen habits and make them part of every day life.
WE all stress and go about life so serious and well we need to slow down.
Listen and listen again. I now listened to this book 4 times each time I get something new.

Awesome!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, it "moves" you into action and makes you rethink everything you have and why you have it.

Any additional comments?

I listened to this book a couple of weeks ago and started getting rid of my excess. It's so much easier than I expected!! Loved this book!!

Good book for just listening to tips

It was alright, could have offered more, but aparently it's just a book that throws habits which is fine if that's what you're looking for. Don't regret giving this a try since I did save some good bookmarks.

Good but repetitive

Is there anything you would change about this book?

This is kind of a "best of" compilation, supposedly. While it is hard to beat Fred Stella's most excellent voice, it is kind of repetitive and doesn't really go anywhere.

Any additional comments?

I'm not sure who the target audience is for Babauta, but my guess this is for executive types wearing suits and ties. Many of the suggestions in the book, I already do, so it wasn't a huge help. There were a couple of things to make you think, but after hearing how to organize an email inbox for the 3rd or 4th time, I gave up on the book.

My attraction to the book was the name (and the fair price). As other's have pointed out, Babauta's works have little to do with Zen. It is more of how to simplify, organize and manage time better.

I'm going to throw out a better book, which like Babauta and Zen, has really nothing to do with Buddhism: Just One Thing: Developing a Buddha Brain One Simple Practice at a Time. It is also read by Fred Stella, and offers a lot more practical insights than how to organize an email inbox.
