Publisher's summary

"How Do Homeschool Mothers Do it All?:

Homeschooling your children can be difficult. Faith, family, finances, and your child's education are just a few of the things you have to consider. And in the midst of it all, you have to find time to take care of yourself.

How do you fit it all in?

As a homeschooling mother myself, I know what you're going through! I too was a "first-year" homeschooler and remember the excitement (and the frustration) well!

In the beginning, it was tough finding a way to make everything work. I was overwhelmed! After a little time though, I learned how to homeschool with ease.

Now, I want to share my secrets with you, so you can...

Homeschooling

Any additional comments?

Very helpful and helped me adjust my goals and be realistic, but also very repetitive in driving a point. I think that the book itself should be edited better as it can go on and on about the same issue. I also was a bit taken aback that a Christian recommends yoga for relaxation. On the whole, I do recommend it though as it does have some inspiring ideas and is helpful.

Great baseline for keeping your sanity!

This isn't a how to home school, so much as how to make sure you keep your priorities amongst the business of home school life.

Best Homeschool book as of yet

Would you consider the audio edition of Your First Year of Homeschooling to be better than the print version?

N/A

What was one of the most memorable moments of Your First Year of Homeschooling?

This year has been our first year of homeschool. It has been overwhelming at times, challenging and there has been so much more to it than what I imagined or any other book I have read (and there have been many) Most every other book only told of the good days and not the reality of what homeschooling is really like. This is the first book that made me feel like I'm not alone and its ok to have not so good days right along with all of the amazing days. Its ok to not be super mom and ask for help when its needed. This book has forever changed the way I will educate my daughter. It is a book I will listen to many times over!

Have you listened to any of Lisa Baarns’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Not yet but I have already started looking :0)

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

There is no perfect way. Only your way!

Loved it!

Confused where to start? How are you handling situations that challenge your choice? What are you missing? These are just a few questions I was able to answer after listening to this book. This book was very well organized and is packed full of easy to understand information. I loved everything about this book! Your mind is put at ease! You will learn about different techniques used to acquire free learning material, you adventure through the lives of several homeschool mom's and their diverse methods, and you are made to realize that in order to be a successful administrator you need to take care of your self!

Disappointed I Paid for This

Author uses a racial slur within the first five minutes. Is critical to the point of insulting about the "friends" whose methods they reference.

A Nice Book for Homeschooling Moms

There were a few parts that made father's sound more like glorified babysitters than partners in life, but overall a very good book for homeschooling mothers.
