Story
Turning the other cheek does not mean standing by while the enemies of God dismantle Christian civilization and brainwash our children. Decrying the cowardice that masquerades as meekness, Eric Metaxas summons the Church to battle. An attenuated and unbiblical “faith” based on what Bonhoeffer called “cheap grace” has sapped the spiritual vitality of millions of Americans. Paying lip service to an insipid “evangelism,” they shrink from combating the evils of our time. Metaxas refutes the pernicious lie that fighting evil politicizes Christianity.

The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

The secret to happiness is to acknowledge and transform suffering, not to run away from it. Here, Thich Nhat Hanh offers practices and inspiration transforming suffering and finding true joy. Thich Nhat Hanh acknowledges that because suffering can feel so bad, we try to run away from it or cover it up by consuming. We find something to eat or turn on the television. But unless we’re able to face our suffering, we can’t be present and available to life, and happiness will continue to elude us.

Story
The Qur'an, believed by Muslims to be the word of God, was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad 1,400 years ago. It is the supreme authority in Islam and the living source of all Islamic teaching; it is a sacred text and a book of guidance that sets out the creed, rituals, ethics, and laws of the Islamic religion. It has been one of the most influential books in the history of literature. Recognized as the greatest literary masterpiece in Arabic, it has nevertheless remained difficult to understand in its English translations.

Nice info overpowered by music
it was difficult to hear and focus on what was being said as the music was overpowering the words.
great information., but music should have been Lee and more in the background for effect.
it's too bad I really could not enjoy the message.

Not what I expected from Wayne Dyer
He is just reading quotes. I couldn't stay engaged in the book. This is the first time I have not enjoyed his work.

Superb Refernce Material
I've listened to these recordings time and time again and shared them
with friends and colleagues. The spoken words have taken me in many
directions and I've been 'blessed' again and again, my life being
richer through becoming acquainted with the writings and thoughts of
some of the greats who lived before us.

Background Music
We really like Wayner Dyer, his content, reading and voice and have several of his books and now audiobooks. My wife has some hearing loss in both ears but not needing a hearing aid. While Wayne's voice and reading is excellent the background music to voice is so OVERPOWERING she cannot hear a word Wayne is saying on this book or "Staying on the Path".
We do get this on some TV programs with voice overs but we never thought that Audiobooks would do the same. It brings what is good work a very low vibrational energy and we would hope that this could be corrected in the future.

The music is too loud!!
I'd rather just here Wayne in this audio book. But the music, though it maybe good, is distracting from the reading. It's overbearing in the over all mix. Not even necessary.

Not for me
Not much here except a string of trivialities smothered in music so unimaginative and intrusive it's almost comic.
